It does its job.
Make sure you measure your chair and compare with the measurements given. It will give some if it's not firmly planted to the floor

flimsy and not sturdy at all
not too hard to put together but it is so flimsy.it will actually make it worse to get up off of it. Worst product of the year. Do not buy it for any reason. Really poorly made. Junk

will be returning, the device does not lock into place and does not provide sturdy or reliable support.

Safety.
The item is very flimsy, not very well put together and not sturdy. I would recommend spending the extra money for the similar items. I would not recommend this item for the elderly.

Not as safe as it should be.
Both handles are very loose and wobble back and forth in the frame when I use them to push up from the sofa where I need it, and there's no way to tighten anything up. I've checked and double-checked and both handles are as snapped in (during assembly) as they can get. I'm working on learning to balance as I push up to a standing position, to compensate for for this defect. This thing cost nearly $100 on Amazon and it should be sturdy and safe. I'm keeping it because I need to be able to get off the sofa and there was nothing else like this. The need for standing up has me over a barrel, so I had to pay a high price for only partial functionality and reliability.
