This product is easy to assemble, but somewhat tricky to install because the string kept snapping back when I was trying to feed it through the skimmer cover. Once installed though, it did exactly what I hoped it would! In addition to saving little critters and keeping the skimmer basket cleaner, it keeps our skimmer bot from getting stuck at the skimmer when the pump is running. I am very p!eased with this purchase and would highly recommend!

This product works well. It is better quality than I thought it would be, and the frogs can climb out of the pool on it. I may buy another one for my other skimmer!

Kept getting animals and leaf litter in the skimmer. Every day, one to three frogs, bugs, you name it. One day a baby rabbit - that was enough! Looked for a product on Amazon. Saw the ones that merely give animals a way out. This one however, provides a way out for animals PLUS keeping stuff out of the skimmer. I'm here to tell you this "Critter Clear" has been fabulous! Not a single frog, bug or anything has been trapped in the skimmer. Makes sense to put something over the skimmer entrance. This is November in Georgia and we have two big oaks next to the pool. Leaves are falling like rain. We used to have to dump leaves out of the skimmer sometimes three times a day. Not anymore. I can get all the leaves at the end of the day with the skimmer net, and the skimmer may have a small layer of leaves in the bottom. It appears to be well-designed and made from quality materials. I see this being in use for a long time, it's certainly not flimsy. Easy to install. This is well worth the money!

It’s a lot wider than I thought it would be. Good quality and made well. Might last longer if you only put them out overnight. The netting might not make it thru a hot Texas summer but will update you after summer.

If you have a pool this will help animals reach safety. This also prevents leaves and other debris from making it into the skimmer. Brilliant idea and I use the thing that goes on the inside as well that’s a ramp. This fit with ease around my filter opening and I saw bugs crawling on it that would have otherwise drowned. I’ve tried the frog logs in the past and this is far superior.

I had hoped this would help keep the large magnolia liefs out of my skimmer but it did not work with my pool. I had to return the item. It was expensive too.

Works absolutely wonderful

I purchased this to help all the wildlife escape from the pool, BUT THE FLAP THAT IS SUPPOSED TO HELP THEM DOESN'T SECURE TO ANYTHING?! The flap just flips up onto the concrete with no weight to it. The critters trying to get out as they pull the flap down and still ultimately die. So what I purchased this for does not fix my problem. Its also expensive compared to other brands.
