I got this puck screen mainly because I heard it helps keep your group head clean. It definitely keeps your group head clean. It’s easy to use and fits perfectly.

Tried it out at the coffee shop and it worked well, It’s great for at home but wasn’t practical for in store use due to busy volume , did see a difference in distribution while extracting

This is my first time trying a puck screen, so I can't compare it to others on the market. That being said, I am very pleased with this product. The 53.3mm version fits my Solis Perfetta Plus perfectly. It helps tremendously with this machine's less than perfect water distribution from the group head, and keeps my shower screen clean. A tip for those like me, new to it's use: Being new to using a puck screen, I had some trouble finding a good way to remove the screen after brewing, since it sticks to the puck. I found a recommendation online to give the top of your portafilter a sharp whack with your palm, and this works quite well. It will usually fall right out afterwards, leaving the puck behind to empty into your knock box or whatever. This makes the whole experience that much better.

It keeps your brew head clean from grounds. It also gives more crema by reducing channeling. However, it will reduce your basket size. The increase in basket efficiency offsets the small amount of ground coffee you must reduce to make it fit the same basket. However, you can buy a larger basket or switch to unpressurized one if you need more interior basket space. You can also buy a heavy stainless tamper and smash it down more😀. I tried all 3 and found the heavy tamper worked fine and that a bigger basket was too much. Switching to unpressurized and bottomless also worked well for more space and viewing my results. The option I didn't try was to buy a thinner screen because this thickness had great results.

This screen seems to make the flow more uniform and consistent through our puck. It also keeps the group head and shower screen clean. Both net positives. It's easy to use and clean - just rinse it off.

Not that it matters really to the function of this item anyways, but mine came with the "But first, coffee" inscription as shown in the listing. Those who are deducting multiple stars for not getting the logo are being petty. Who cares? It's not like you're putting it on display. It works and is fine for the price. Keeps your brew head cleaner.

Been using this for over a year now and my Shower Screen is perfect. It was so affordable especially given the price of those bigger coffee brand name ones, and it does the job just as well. The only thing I suggest is to take your cleaning tablets and clean it every couple of months because I saw a video that says your coffee still gets trapped in it. Well I cleaned mine and ugh, they were right! The Soul of a Years worth of coffees in my shower screen hahaha. But first, coffee! will forever be my motto thanks to you shower screen!
