Marvelous, but wish they could also be used properly with 25mm straps
Use these to stop the ratchet straps cutting through the roofing felt covering my trailer lid. They should also stop damage to other items. The main pity is that there is no means to ensure centring of 25mm straps, which could slip to one side, so I also had to get some light duty 50mm wide ratchet straps. These work very well, but at £7.50, including delivery, from Ironmongery Online, for four foam covered plastic pads, they seem a bit expensive, particularly as I needed two sets, to get six pads. You don't have to thread the straps through them, as they can be clipped over the straps.

Very inflexible and hard to use
Very stiff hard pads very hard to use, as it's fiddly to get the strapa to sit right. Pads are stiff and will not bend around curved surfaces. Not a good solution to holding delicate items to roof rack

Brittle
The foam pad is excellent but the plastic cover is super brittle and shattered on first use.

Not bad/not great
For fitting onto tie straps for motorhome top cover. Not that flexible to curve around motorhome bottom mouldings but good enough for the money

Ok for light work.
These are ok unless you bend them 90 degrees, then they break.I purchased these to protect my boat when being towed, but I think a couple of strips of carpet tile would probably be better.

They are really good, does the job of protecting my standup paddle boards, money well spent, only this is their blue not yellow, but that doesn't make a difference to me

Excellent protection when using tie-down straps
I used to use bits of old polystyrene and rubber to stop straps digging in to items being held on the roof bars of the car but these are much better at the task, look the part and easy to fit. They can even be added AFTER the straps are already basically in place so that is a bonus as well. A good addition to ratchet straps.
