What will happen if I lost the master phone??

You will need access to a phone with the app on it to setup the tags on the lock. After than they will work regardless of the phone app and you would only need the phone app if you wanted to add more or disable/remove existing tags. If you have lost your phone you can log in to the Yale app on a new phone with your Yale account to recover access. If for some reason you can't log in to your Yale account the last resort would be to use the reset process to reset the lock to defaults and set it up with a new Yale account.

Do these locks effect your home insurance

My insurance company were fine with it as the mortice lock was the relevant part rather than how it is operated. Obviously, I cannot speak for all insurance companies although you can easily check with them.

Is there a limit to the number of tags that can be programmed to open a particular lock? Required for various guests at a guesthouse.

As far as I know there is no limit but you have to buy credits. If you disable a tag you can then use that credit again without cost

Can you disable a key tag? If I give this to someone for a day and only want them to have access for that day, could I disable it afterwards?

Yes you can but to save giving the tags away you can set up a one time use code that won’t work after they have used it
