Smiffys WW2 Land Girl Costume, Green Top, Dungarees and Headscarf, 1940's Wartime Fancy Dress, 1940s Dress Up Costumes

This costume is very comfortable and good value for money. It is a little on the large side and I had to shorten the straps but this really was just a ten minute job. Made a great outfit for a 1940s evening with friends. If I go to any fancy dress parties this is what I'll wear.

Sizing is smaller than expected, but ok for a war time dress up day.

+++ Arrived quickly, made to a decent standard (stitching good) and it looked good on. Did the trick.--- The top is annoyingly short (I'm 5ft 2 and it came to my belly button) so every time you sit down the t shirt untucks itself from the trousers. The shoulder straps are hugely oversized, I had to take 3 inches out of the straps - still kept falling off my shoulders. Material has no flex so felt tight when I sat down, even though it did fit me.Not unusable, looked good, just some niggles.

Ordered this for a VE day celebration. The dungarees are a good fit - I ordered a size M, and by crossing the straps over at the back there were no adjustments needed on them. The little top that comes with it was a bit short so I just wore one of my own T-shirts underneath. The belt at the front is just for decoration and doesn't go all the way round the back. The legs of the dungarees finished just under my knees.This was a very comfortable outfit and the material and finish to them seem good, so I was very happy with my purchase.

It's a great fit, so the sizing is on point. Although it's made from cheap material, it's a cheap fancy dress outfit. Perfect for our VE day celebrations.

I was aware that this product was not going to be of particularly high quality due to the price, but unfortunately my item arrived with the belt sewn on entirely the wrong way round. This item arrived too late for me to attend the 1940's event it was for, so I was unable to exchange it and had to try to cover the belt with another belt, ruining the look of the outfit. The t-shirt was extremely cheap and too short to wear also, a real shame :(

Very short and square t shirt. Headscarf was not as in image in advert. Everything was “very” nylon. Not very pleasant to wear. Looks cheap!!

An okay costume for an okay price. Blouse/t-shirt provided was extremeley short in the body. I was with another party of 8 people and we all had the same costume with the same complaint. I would recommend using your own top underneath. The headscarf provided was not as pictured and was so small it would never fit the average size adult head. Again we had to wear our own headgear and used the scarf as a neckachief. 6/10

I ordered this three times. The first time, I accidentally ordered an XL. The second a Large - which states sizes 14-16, I'm normally a 12. Because costumes normally run small, I thought the L would work. It was still way too big. Returned and ordered a medium, which is perfect! I'm short in stature and waist, so I had to alter the suspenders, but that was easy to fix. This is an adorable costume. And it's two pieces so you don't have to take EVERYTHING off when nature calls.Just put your hair in some victory rolls and head out to the costume contest.

Super inexpensive and looks pretty good!! You will not get a robust outfit for this money but an effective fancy dress costume!!I measured myself and looked at the size chart. I’m pretty much a medium and that’s what I bought and it fits nicely! For what I want I’m really happy with it. Cross the straps at the back to be shorter. It’s a mock belt. Good value for the 30ish dollars that it was
