Thoughtful read
I appreciate this book for so many reasons. It's my favorite kind of book that is both pleasurable to read, but also makes me think. Kudos to the social enterprises that are making a difference in our US economy. Thank you for writing this book, David. It is well thought-out and organized with critically important and timely content.Mindy MullerPresident/CEOCommunity Development Professionals

A practical guide to making a positive impact one baby step at a time
Do you want to make a bigger difference, but you don't know how/where to start? Radical Business needs to be on your reading list. This was the most meaningful book I’ve read yet. This book is a stunning, yet practical, articulation about the impact businesses can have across the seven identified areas. Sound overwhelming? It’s exactly the opposite! The author does such a great job encouraging businesses to self-reflect, then make even the smallest changes, which compound over time to have a big impact. It’s full of his own choices and challenges, making it very relatable.

Fantastic!
I've been on a presence/mindfulness journey lately and the intersection of “how present leaders create present companies" combined with David's book is pretty powerful. The book has such a beautiful blend of great research, life experiences, and storytelling that makes it easy to read, and it's very digestible.

Handbook for the Next Generation of Business
Radical Business paints a brilliant picture of the overarching reasons that a new frame for business is so needed at this time, while also providing practical tools that your business can implement now. I truly hope that business students, entrepreneurs, and the C-Suite of large organizations all get their hands on a copy. If we can implement David's vision in each of our organizations, we will be living in a much more beautiful world!

Focused towards businesses, but applies to consumers too
I'm not a business owner (nor do I plan to be!) but I still learned a lot from this book. I have been wanting to make meaningful differences as a consumer, but I didn't know how. This book helped provide me with tools and insight to do just that.

Every Business Owner Should Read This Book
After I read this terrific and truly needed book by author David Gaines, I wished it could be used as essential reading for every student who takes a business or entrepreneurship course in college. It would be even better as the basis for an entire course! In the meantime, this book is an asset to every business owner who reads it and implements David's "radical" business Ideas. One of the chapters that affected me the most was what the author calls Seed 1: Supply Chain: Behind Every Product is a Story. As we buy products in our everyday lives, I think we'd often be appalled by the injustices suffered by the people whose work brings us everyday items we take for granted like coffee. As a consumer I want to know more so I've become much more curious about the brands I buy from, especially about how they do business behind the scenes.I'm also an entrepreneur so I've taken to heart every single one of the "Seeds" the authors talks about including his chapters on customers, community, and competitors. The author has made my business better and it's clear he wants to make the world better. This book is a powerful resource to do so.

A must read book for anyone looking to make a difference!
Radical Business is an excellent reminder of the power that individuals and businesses have in making a positive impact on the world. As you read this book, it feels like you are sitting down to have a coffee with David - it is honest about the challenges that come with social impact work yet equally optimistic. The social enterprise landscape has always felt complicated, but this book breaks things down and encourages simple steps to drive lasting change. I’d highly recommend!
