I love it
Yesterday I got it, same day my mother had pains in her kidneys(infection) so on internet ive seen how you can apply few drops of cedar wood oil and massage it into the painful place, I’ve done it to my mother and it didn’t help with kidneys but it helped with pain , she had less pain and she could breathe properly. Also, I sprayed my whole house with it (mixed with water) and added few drops to the diffuser and it helped with cockroaches! I recently moved to a new house and found out that I have cockroaches in the new apartment because of the previous tenants. So, on internet I found out that cockroaches hate the smell of cedarwood oil and I got it. All of them where trying to escape, I could see them panicking and from the ground they were escaping to the ceiling (less smell). I spayed all of the house and now I see less of them. Cockroaches didn’t enter to my room at all because I spayed my bed and my doors and used diffuser. They tried to get into my brothers room when his room didn’t smell like cedarwood oil (I didn’t spray his room at that time) but I managed to kill all of them from his room and spayed it. It was a peaceful night. I am terrified of bugs and once I found out that we have cockroaches I’ve always been panicking. But now I found a way to get rid of them. I tried pests gel and traps and etc but nothing worked better than cedarwood oil. Also, today in the morning my neighbour knocked at the door and said how there’s a lot of cockroaches in his house now. There’s less in my house now and I will be buying more bottles of cedarwood oil as yesterday I used a whole bottle. Now me and my neighbour will be doing it to save our houses from disgusting pests. Because I used a lot of cedarwood oil in my room (1/3 of the bottle) I felt dizzy and had headache and my husband and my dog didn’t fancy it. My dog was itching and later on I found out how dogs can get an allergic reaction and I also have parrots and I read how they can have some problems too. Now I will use less of it in my room where the pets are, but definitely use it everyday until all of the cockroaches leave my house. How I did it? I mixed cedarwood oil (3-5drops) with diffuser that is lavender scent (as cockroaches hate it too). I also applied two drops on the candles that are citrus and lavender scent (pests hate it) and I did it twice a day (each candle lasts 6 hours, I used one candle per one room (in bigger rooms I used two) and I used one candle in the morning and one in the evening). Also, I splashed/applied few drops on every door at the top and bottom and smudged it so the smell can be everywhere. I applied few drops on every bed (on the frame) but if you have bed bugs them you should do it on the mattress (found it on internet). And finally, I mixed half of up water with 3 table spoons of lavender liquid (got it from the diffuser) and added 5 drops of cedarwood oil and sprayed the floor and rooms. Amazing product! Would definitely recommend it ! Another thing, I have severe anaemia and I always feel tired but for some reason I can’t fall asleep but yesterday I slept so well and fell asleep earlier than usual after applying cedarwood oil everywhere.

A Resin Extract With a Warm Vanilla Heart
I’ve been exploring aromatherapy for several years, and Absolute Aromas has consistently been a brand I trust for quality. Their Benzoin 40% Dilution is no exception, and it has quickly become a "hug in a bottle" during these colder winter months of early 2026. ✅ Pros: • Potent 40 % concentration. • Gentle, alcohol-free, and 100% organic. • Non-irritating to my sensitive skin when properly diluted. • Did not cause headaches or scent-sensitivity issues. ❌ Cons: • Requires consistent shaking to keep the resins suspended. • Contains Benzyl Benzoate (potential allergen for some). • Requires gentle warming in cold weather to flow. Scent & Quality The first thing you notice is the aroma—it’s wonderfully rich, sweet, and balsamic, with unmistakable vanilla undertones. Because it is sourced from Siam (Styrax tonkinensis) rather than the coarser Sumatran variety, the scent is refined and smooth. I specifically chose this version because I wanted to avoid an ethanol extract, which can often be too harsh, overly "medicinal," or drying on the skin. Even for someone like me who can be sensitive to sharp fragrances, this resin feels grounded and soothing; when properly diluted, it never triggered a headache or caused any respiratory irritation. Texture & Practicality (The 40% Dilution) Benzoin is naturally a thick, glassy resin. Absolute Aromas dilutes this to 40% in Benzyl Benzoate (an odourless diluent) to make it pourable. 💡A Pro-Tip: Even at 40%, it can still thicken in a cold room. If the oil won’t come out of the dropper, simply roll the bottle between your palms for a minute to warm it up. It flows perfectly once it reaches body temperature. Skin Barrier & Sensitivity I am always cautious because many essential oils can be harsh on the skin barrier, potentially stripping lipids if used incorrectly. This product contains Benzyl Benzoate, which is a known allergen and a solvent used to keep the resin liquid. However, my experience was very positive: when I properly diluted it (3 drops per 10 g of oils and butters), it did not inflame my sensitive skin. Instead, it felt as though it helped to soothe and protect my hands. If you have a history of contact dermatitis, I highly recommend a patch test first, as the resinous nature can be sensitising for some users. How I Use It Skincare: I add 3 drops to a bland, unscented moisturiser or carrier oil. It is excellent for "sealing" moisture into the skin exposed to dry, biting winds. Constructive Feedback The bottle uses a standard dropper, but a pipette might be easier given the viscosity. Also, be aware that the oil has a deep amber hue - be careful with light-coloured towels or linens as it can stain if not handled carefully. 🌟 Final Verdict If you’re looking for a comforting, high-quality Benzoin that smells like a luxury spa, this is a good choice. It’s ethical, sustainably sourced, and provided you respect the need for dilution, it is a gentle powerhouse for wintertime skincare. I highly recommend this for anyone building a "winter wellness" kit. You can find it on the Absolute Aromas Amazon Store or view their safety data and blending tips on the official Absolute Aromas website

Effective, But Mask the Scent
Valerian smells horrific, so you won't want to diffuse this by itself. But its pungent odor is easily masked with lavender, which is another oil good for relaxing and sleep. (If you hate lavender, try orange.) Melatonin doesn't seem to affect me at all, while just one third of a "good" sleeping pill gives me a major hangover the next day. So I was looking for something that would help with sleep without making me feel like garbage the next day. A few drops of this Valerian in my all-night diffuser masked by lavendar did make a noticeable difference to my ability to sleep. I was aware that I felt a lot groggier in the night--not a feeling you want in the day, but helpful when you're trying to go to sleep. I battle on and off with insomnia and wake up a lot in the night, so it was nice to find something that helps make falling asleep easier. But I also suspect that I might be experiencing a bit of a hangover from it the next day (nothing as bad as the mainstream pills), so it's not something I want to use regularly. If you're a big fan of sleeping aids, you'll probably want to check this out. My husband is very sensitive to meds and has several kinds of sleeping aids that he rotates through to try to avoid building up tolerance. If you're like him, you'll probably love this product. Just have another oil on hand to mask that intense odor and you'll be all set.
