I purchased this product for my 10 year old for Christmas. This looked more “grown up” than any other product I looked for. Delivery was quick and the product arrived in a lovely box that can be used again. Very easy to use by following the instructions provided. My daughter did most of this herself with my supervision. It doesn’t take very long to make and set. She then decorated the stickers on top of the pots and handed them out family. All of the ingredients are top quality. Just enough to make the 5 pots.There is no additional scent or flavourings in this so all lip balms are the same.

My 8 year old received this kit as a Christmas present. She is lip balm obsessed and really enjoyed the idea of making her own. I put off doing this with her for ages for fear of the dreaded messy time, but I shouldn't have worried. This kit is so surprisingly easy, it hardly takes much time at all as it takes longer to set everything up and read the instructions than the actual making which is about 4 minutes.It is note worth noting that the end product is definitely a 5 star experience. The end product is rich and creamy and was too nice to even waste what was left in the bowl which was generously rubbed on every elbow, knee and leg in the house. It is also worth noting that there are no nasties in the product unless you add them to it. Included in the kit is:-* 2 Vitamin E capsules* Refined Coconut oil* Beeswax* Cocoa Butter* Calendula Oil* Five pots and labels* A stirrer and pipetteThe product comes packed in a small and recyclable box which is also packed with straw to buffer the contents but I admit when you open it up your first thought, oh is that it. But when you think about the cost per finished natural pot, it is worth it. Yes if you decide you want to go on and make more, it would be cost effective to buy ingredients separately in bulk but as a introductory set this is fine.Making the product is as simple as emptying the Vit E capsules into a bowl and mixing in all other ingredients. They are then melted together over a pan of water making a double boiler. When combined pour into pots and its done. The instructions in my kit mentioned pouring from the bowl into included jug to make pouring into pots easier, despite a jug not being on the contents list or indeed in the contents. We overcame this messy step by simply melting all the ingredients together in a pyrex jug over a steamer.The end product is nice but plain for a glitter and glitz 8 year old, who then wanted to ruin the simple and stress free process by now dividing the warm oil into smaller jugs and adding different fragrances and edible glitter (glitter was a gloopy mess but she likes it). The mixture sets very quickly from a liquid back to a solid as it hits a cold surface, so we had the smaller jugs soaking in hot water to keep them warm, then they were dried, the oil added, fragrances mixed in and then poured in to the pots. She then used the matt labels provided to label her creations. I would have preferred gloss labels but this is a tiny gripe.Overall a great easy to use product which is a quick 15 mins at maximum activity. Nicely packaged and I would happily buy again as a gift for others.

Quality bits and nice to make with my daughter, we used some herbs from the garden too. Good gift.

Looks good but didn’t come with instructions so I’m abit confused. Also disappointed as I bought 2 (1 is a gift) and I don’t know if that had instructions in it either

Bought as a gift. Lovely end result, does smell a little funny when melting some of the ingredients down. However good end result and value for money. I bought some edible glitter as well to add to the balm.

Bought as a present for friends mid teen daughter who really liked the idea of making her own lip balm.Well boxed and a fair price.

Great gift for an older girl as most of the makeup craft kits are styled for a younger audience. Also the quality of the packaging and ingredients keep mum happy too 😊
