handy dehydrator
i used this to dry flowers and it did the job. the flowers lost their colour during drying but that’s not due to the dehydrator, that’s just the way they dried. it still did what it was supposed to and it did it well!! id recommend and will use it in the future to dry fruits for my hamsters :)good value for money

Very basic but works well.
I used this for drying mushrooms and it did the job well, although it took a long time. The temperature knob works, although it doesn't give precise or exact temperature control. Through trial and error you can find out the best setting. I am being safe and not turning it up past halfway - the air flow is quite hot even at the halfway point so I'm not confident that it would be good to turn it up past that. The circular trays stack together, you can easily change the order of trays during use, which is useful because the tray closest to the fan will dry quicker, so it's good to cycle them. You can also easily adjust the gap between each tray. Overall it is a good product and easy to use.

It ain't fancy but it does the job
If you were to use this to dry mushrooms, I'd recommend setting it to just below the 60c mark and leaving it for around 9 hours. The time will depend greatly on the size of the mushrooms. But I've found 9 hours to be sufficient for the thicker mushrooms which I do sometimes have to cut so they don't take too long to dry.For teeny tiny mushrooms, keep an eye on them but 4-5 hours could be sufficient.Overall, this product is MAGIC!

Amazing addition to the kitchen!
Must admit, was dubious buying this as it was cheap, £32 and looked incredibly plasticy.. I should have trusted the other reviews. It does exactly what it's supposed to, very well. I've dried everything from wild mushrooms to mango, tomato to peppers, lemons to chilli's. What can I say, I am more than impressed and would recommend this to anyone wanting to notch up their culinary skills to the next level. The only problem is you'll find yourself wandering around the fruit and veg asile in the supermarket hunting stuff to dry out!

Easy to use once you figure it out.....
This is a great dehydrator and my husband uses it to make beef jerky. The product didn't come with instructions on how to use it which was quite frustrating, but we used a bit of trial and error (beef jerky can be made in three hours on the highest setting). I have tried some fruits such as mango but they need a lot longer due to the water content. We have used it many times and will continue to do so. Overall it was a great purchase.

Handy, adjustable and good value
This handy gadget was perfect for drying out chillies and veggies for spice mixes and snacks. The racks are removable so you can use as many or as few as you need to, and you can swap them around if some racks are drying quicker than others. It does need to be on for a long time but it isn’t super loud. As someone who hasn’t bought a dehydrator before I’ve been really pleased with it and I’m looking forward to finding new uses for it. One thing to mention - it takes up a fair amount of counter space and as it isn’t something you get daily use from its best to store it away once it has cooled down after use.
