An excellent product
An excellent product that I have purchased many times.

A thick sauce.
This is not like the usual sauce. For a start, its much more thicker than the usual stuff. Secondly, it has a wonderful taste and enriches so many dishes. Although it is bigger than most of the other brand bottles, I have been surprised at how much I have already used. I found it to be great in a stir fry, adding a wonderful, umami flavour. I used it in chicken and vegetable spring rolls as well as in a meat pie stew. From now on I won’t be using any other make of sauce. It came as two bottles and I planned to give one to my daughter to use but since I found how good it really is, I am keeping the other one. She can get her own.

The best oyster sauce there is for flavouring my stir fries
I've tried the ones sold at Tesco and they just cannot match this one. This one has the appropriate balance of savoury and sweetness, and not much is needed at a time. I usually make a huge stir fry for 6 and I would use about 2 - 3 tablespoons of this, coupled with a dash of soya sauce, a dash of Shaoxing rice wine, half a cup of veggie/chicken stock, and some cornstarch mixed with a bit of cold water to thicken up the mixture a bit. I will always use this one - I have strayed in the past, but I have come back to this, realising my errors.

Arrived damaged
Both bottles of the sauce on this occasion arrived damaged and luckily they had been placed in a water / sauce tight plastic bag but the bottles were not individually wrapped so glass on glass bouncing around hence they smashed, hopefully I will be refunded and so I can re-purchase and try again, no issues with previous purchases and I love the taste of the sauce

Asian foodies tell me this the best, and I'm inclined to agree
Chinese and Malaysian friends recommended LKK Premium Oyster sauce as the best mainstream brand and I cannot disagree - made with a high content of oyster extract rather then oyster flavouring (as per cheaper brands), the LKK twin pack is actually very decent value. So much so, I have it on Subscribe and Save as it finds itself in almost every Chinese dish I make. Absolutely lovely sauce, and worth the marginal extra over the LKK Panda variety, and Kikkoman option.

the amount of different dishes that I use this in - a lot of which are not oriental

The premium version has much more depth of oyster flavour than Lee Kum Kee's other versions of oyster sauce. It has a nice underlying hint of sweetness.

After incorporating Lee Kum Kee Premium Oyster Sauce into my cooking routine, I can confidently say this product has elevated my Asian dishes to restaurant quality. This authentic condiment delivers exceptional flavor that simply cannot be matched by lesser brands. ## Exceptional Flavor Profile The Premium Oyster Sauce offers a perfect balance of savory, sweet, and umami flavors that instantly enhance stir-fries, marinades, and noodle dishes. Unlike some competitors, it has a rich, complex taste without overwhelming saltiness. The consistency is ideal - thick enough to cling to ingredients but still easy to pour and measure. ## Quality Ingredients You can taste the difference that comes from using quality oyster extracts. The sauce has a natural depth of flavor that comes through in every dish, creating that authentic taste that's often difficult to achieve at home. ## Versatility in the Kitchen Beyond traditional Chinese cooking, I've found this sauce works beautifully in fusion dishes, as a glaze for meats, and even as a secret ingredient in Western-style gravies. A little goes a long way, making each bottle last through many meals. ## Value Consideration The premium price point reflects the quality ingredients and authentic production methods. While it does cost more than basic alternatives, the superior flavor justifies the investment for serious home cooks. That said, I would appreciate more frequent promotions or discounts to make this kitchen staple more accessible for regular purchase. ## Final Verdict Lee Kum Kee Premium Oyster Sauce is genuinely worth the splurge for anyone who values authentic flavor in their cooking. Despite the higher price, the quality and versatility make it an excellent value. I'll continue purchasing it regardless, but would certainly take advantage of sales or promotions whenever available to stock up on this pantry essential.

Wenn man nurnoch 9% Austernextrakt drin hat statt den hier angegebenen 40% ist es nurnoch 4% von der nicht Premium Version entfernt, für den Preisunterschied schon dürftig.

This product was advertised as vegetarian - but it is not! First ingredient is ‘Oyster Extract’. False advertising. Be aware. Don’t believe the answers they provide in the Q&A section.
