Yeah! Put things on this block and hit them!Fine for printing onto metal with letter punches, texturing and distressing things, flattening wire, shaping things you're later going to file and polish.BUT! not a fine, polished surface for flattening finished things - it is kind of matte and basic and the block itself will mark if you (like me) try vainly to thin out hard solder on it with a basic toolbox hammer. I get the impression (ha) that there are more expensive, hardened polished steel versions out there but this is fine for the basics.Also, do yourself (and anyone around you) a favour and get either a rubber or wooden block to go under it to dampen the noise and vibrations.

I have no faults about this! Been using it while I handstamp my stainless steel, silver and brass jewellery with no problems.Only thing I will say is that I feel a little bad for the postman who had to carry it around in his bag! Sorry!

From other youtube videos ive seen this where the metal block goes inside the rubber block. Was a bit confused but does the job well
