Saved my wriggly siamese
My cat is a Siamese who barely goes out, but unfortunately got his first bout of fleas after we recently moved to a more rural area. He's a massive wriggler and hates being picked up, so I was terrified to bath him. He howled a little bit, but following these steps made the whole process so much easier: No running tap water: Pre-fill two bowls/pitchers with warm water before bringing him in. The sound of running taps panics them! Put a towel at the bottom of the sink: Gives them traction so they don't slip and panic. The "Soap Ring": Wet his neck first and put a ring of flea shampoo around his neck before wetting his body. Fleas run straight for the head/face to escape water, and this stops them in their tracks! The Towel "Purrito": Wrap him snugly in a towel to keep his paws secured while you get him set up. Pitcher rinse: Use a cup/pitcher to pour warm water from the neck down, lather, wait 5 minutes, and rinse with clean water. The result: This shampoo definitely works I saw lots of fleas drop straight off him dead into the water! His pale coat looked so clean, free of fleas and flea dirt, and he seemed a lot happier and more relaxed afterwards. I did find one massive fat flea on the tip of his head the next day, but hoping that was just one that managed to escape the water during the wash. I’ve now followed this up with the Seresto collar to keep him fully protected long-term against the countryside strays. If you have a cat that hates baths, don't panic just follow these steps!

WARNING: Read before purchasing
Being new to the management of feline fleas irritants I had tried everything from sprays, tablets to brushing and alas nothing had worked. So I thought the next obvious step would be to use a cat shampoo. With this being my first time, I read the instructions and they seemed straight forward - wet the cat, rub in shampoo, rinse and towel dry - considering i do this on a regular basis to myself, I thought I could handle it. However, I found out the hard way that cats do not like water, let alone being shampooed. Firstly, the cats sixth sense kicked in and he realised he was going to be getting wet; so i had to chase him around the flat prior to his bathing experience. Once he was caught, I then started what can only be described as a 'challenge'. Once in the bathroom with the door firmly locked, I started the bathing as per instructions on the bottle. The wetting of the cats fur, this I found out my cat did not like - he started hissing at me like i was next doors cat. Moving on to the shampoo being rubbed in the cat then seemed to accept his fate. The rinsing off of the shampoo however, was not as pleasant - the cat's claws came out and started scratching every part of my non-covered flesh; hands, arms and face - narrowly gauging out my eye. Once rinsed off and towelled dry, the cat then refused to come near me for about a week. The scars have now healed and the cat is now happy to be in the same room as me. Despite the traumatic experience for both myself and the cat and the slight blip in our relationship and I happy to endorse this product with 5 stars as the cat has had very little fleas problem since.

Washes like timotei 😬
A nice smelling shampoo. Makes his fur very soft and looks clean without looking greasy. Not so good on longevity nut if you was your cat first with the shampoo then put flea treatment on I found the fleas were gone a couple of days and combing later. It is value for money would recommend it for that.

The only one I buy
This is always a bargain price, and that plus being a known/trusted brand is what keeps me purchasing. It’s unbelievable how expensive pet shampoo can be! I really like the methodology behind using this as well; let’s be honest, it’s bloody hard to wash a cat! If you use this as instructed the process becomes much less painful for everyone. You just some (20ml) in a small container with warm water and lather up with a sponge. I actually put the cat on my wooden ikea bath tray to apply, holding the tray in place across the bath with my body and the cat facing the wall. He doesn’t mind too much when I lather the shampoo on him like this - it needs to be warm though! It’s very easy to get full coverage and then I leave him in the bath for a couple of minutes to work it’s magic. He may shake a bit (like a dog), hence leaving in the bath to avoid mess! I stay with him to make sure he doesn’t lick. Then back on the bath shelve and I hose off with the shower head. This part he doesn’t love, but he tolerates. Holding in that position with his head towards the wall makes it so much easier. Sometimes I keep him in the bath, but the shelf is better as it drains the water off. I put a hair stopper in the plug to catch the hair - there is a LOT. This means I get to see the fleas as well. It shocks me every time that there are so many… I think he gets them outside, he loves to dumpster dive and hunt rats (why he needs to be washed all the time!!) Anyway, it works. Kills fleas, smells lovely and leaves his fur super soft. Wouldn’t buy anything else.

Will never use anything else
Never leave reviews but this one is worth one. I was sceptical because of price and nothing else really working. Cat in bath, wet through, then started to apply. You could see them dying instantly and falling off. So easy to use, instantly works and flees are gone. I will never use anything else from now on. Bonus is one happy cat who no longer is scratching because she’s irritated. A little really does go a long way.
