Hot stuff!
I bought two of these bulbs for my hallway in lieu of light fittings whilst deciding on what to get.Rather than two exposed bulbs dangling down they immediately changed the feel of the hallway and look elegant, soft and warm…Warm…about that…they literally get very warm. I neglected (my bad) to check the energy efficiency and these naughty bulbs are right at the bottom with an E rating, hence losing a star in the rating.Bear this in mind when choosing - I will use them infrequently in the hallway so not much of an impact but if they’re used in a centrepiece or frequently then worth considering energy consumption and how hot they will get.Overall and for my purposes, I’m super pleased with them.

Lifesaver! Homely glow.
This product arrived quickly. I've only been using it for a matter of half an hour or so, but I am extremely happy with it. The bulb itself is noticeably bigger and longer than normal bulbs which is no problem as I just needed it a lower lumen/ brightness out of necessity rather than aesthetics. it looks fine in my lampshade. My reason for purchasing was that I have ME and struggle a lot with hypersensitivity to light - the harsh light of the 60 watt bulb I had in there previously meant using a computer or reading a book was a very painful and nauseous experience. I am hoping that over time I will find a noticeable difference and this vintage style bulb will give relief so I can read books, use my laptop and watch tv and not feel so unwell. The light feels natural and cosy. Brilliant!

Great looking light bulb pit it doesn’t fit
I wanted a nice bulb to go with a new shade bought for my bedroom. When I tried to fit it into a normal ceiling light holder, white nothing fancy, the shape of the bulb does not allow it to fully engage with the holder so won’t stay in place. Can’t be bothered returning it it may come in handy sometime in the future. It’s a pity that I can’t use it because it does look great.

Shining a light on to the matter...
Perfect for what we wanted it for. It's a big bulb that really shows off the Edison effect. We bought it with an open "cage" style lamp shade that works really well together. It now lives in our downstairs toilet and gives a lovely ambiance to a little room.Would recommend.

As expected
Was a little bit wary of this bulb due to the price, however, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and the light it gives off. It's perfect for a bedroom or somewhere that doesn't need a lot of light. I personally wouldn't use it in a large living room but for what it is, it's great.Durability has been excellent so far, 3 months and going.

Super heritage feature of period home
Looking for ways of emphasising our 1930 period features, after spotting these in a local shop. Here they are a quarter of the price and arrived fine, well packed and fitted all our standard bayonet fittings and work beautifully. They add distinction to rooms where we have hardly, if any lampshades, like the loo, or bathroom, or on a tiny glass drop overhead in a bedroom. Also they look very good on old lampbases and being not bright they look good anywhere. Super things.

For bedroom light
A good bulb you can hang above the bed and not blind yourself for 10 minutes every time you look up and accidently catch sight of it. Works well! Very yellow light, though.

Lovely, with minor imperfections
Looks really lovely, particularly the "smoked" effect. Works well with dimmer. One arrived broken in transit, but always a risk with bulbs in the post, I guess.I'd note that the glass itself has a lot of small blemishes (all 3 bulbs), which potentially make it look like it is a little dusty, depending on the shade this may or may not be a problem, but if it were to be directly on display, might be worth considering.I'd say that @ 40W it is not quite bright enough for a kitchen (if this is your primary source of light for cooking), but perfect for a hallway, over a dining table etc.
