The base game was good but these small expansions aren't worth the money. The added storyline does add a small session to your game with additional characters but doesnt add as much as it should. 3 stars as I enjoyed playing, but wouldnt buy another expansion for this price.

I really like Arkham Horror: The Card Game, and if I was reviewing the board game in total it would get 5 stars. I brought the expansion for £25, and don't feel like I have got the value out of the board game. The game still has the same great feel, and the narrative is still fun while playing the two new scenarios. Though you are not getting the full story of the game, and will need to buy 6 mythos packs ontop of the game to play the full story. The new characters don't offer much with the limited pool of cards you have, to use the characters in a two player game relies on you having a lot more cards than most people would have at this point. Espcially when in a LCG, you would expect to have at least enough cards to build 2 competent decks, without restricting you to certain character combinations. If you brought 2 copies of the base game, or are buying most of the expasions in one go, then easily the expansion would by perfect. Without the foresight, the cost of the game does not feel like I got the worth out of it.

It's too early for me to review this product. I'm still watching videos on how to play the game. The rules are slightly less complex than those for the 1040 long form. I'm at the apprentice level and plan to start playing the core set next week. The game is well designed and clever, so I imagine I will enjoy it. Warning: You have to buy a second copy of the core set or do a lot of photocopying if you want to have more than two players. . The designers of this game are going to make millions. There already is a large corps of rabid fans of the game. Once they did template in the core set all they have to do is move the scenery around a little to get you to buy new scenarios that are issued regularly. I'm hoping to avoid bankruptcy by limiting my purchases, but I'm already off to a bad start.

Amazing! What can I say.. this game has got myself and a friend totally addicted. Both our first go at any type of game like this. We have just recently completed the first three scenarios(Core set) of the game and had to continue our adventures/investigations. From scenario to scenario the game feels new, different and exciting. Aside from the 2 player game, I've recently started a solo campaign and can honestly say it's just as good as playing with a buddy.
