Brilliant saffron! It arrived from Greece, well packaged and sent via the free delivery option, as I'd bought 2 packets. Even before I'd opened the inner packaging I could smell saffron. Once I'd opened the little box that contained the saffron I found beautiful red filaments, with a fresh feel. I can't read Greek but it appeared to have been picked in June. It was used in cooking immediately (not by me, but by a talented cook that I know) and was a big success.An added bonus was the organic certification. I am assured by the talented cook that it is a far superiour product to the saffron currently available in UK supermarkets. Also, excellent value.
