Ikea KALLAX - Shelving unit - White

This is your typical Ikea storage unit. Basic cube size so you can leave open or buy special various cubes to slot into apertures. Easy to assemble, sturdy but not over heavy. We use in kids room. Only reason for four stars was a few bits of the frame were damaged on arrival but couldn't be bothered with the hassle of returning for an exchange.

Love this for kids storage under their midsleeper bed . It's ideal . You can fit loads of stuff in it . I ordered this from here and the grey boxes direct from Ikea as this was the cheepest way for me due to high delivery fees from Ikea so worked out cheepest option . The item arrived and was left at other end of my yard and I didn't know for 2 days because the sorry i missed you note was unclear written . My friend found it randomly though . Anyway after all that I unpacked it and there was a dent in one side however i put that the against the foor so you can't see it and i complained to seller and got 15% back . He was a nice seller good communication and helpful . But id still rather have had it in perfect condition . I think these might be seconds with minor marks ECT but that's just my guess . Actual item with the grey boxes from Ikea looks amazing and I would fully reccomend it . Glad I baught it .

It seems IKEA are unable to pack items for transit as this arrived damaged - this has also been my son’s experience. Fortunately I could put the damaged pieces at the back.As you can see, the unit was placed on its side, so I could use it as a tv stand (I have two large dogs and this is above tail height). It’s very stable in this position, even when knocked by my dogs.All in all, very happy but PLEASE, IKEA do something about your packaging.

Managed to assemble this unit on my own without any difficulty. Laid it on its side and using it to display consoles and video games collection. Solid and stable and with the glass and fabric inserts, bought separately, looks a treat.

Ikea kallax units themselves are a wonderful thing. Very sturdy and useful, although they are more expensive here on Amazon, the fact you can buy them when ikea is not an option is helpful. However the seller could not confirm tracking and automatically sent a refund, I question if they are actually posting out the items and not just keeping customers money until they request where the item is!

I ordered two of these less than a week ago and i was a bit concerned to begin with as I only had one delivered yesterday,thought there had been a mistake but thankfully the second one came today :), packages are fairly large. these units are very easy to put together compared to some, took me about 20 mins in total for both, they also come with little white foam pads to hide the screws which is a nice touch. Be aware though, if you plan on putting anything really heavy on them they must be anchored to a wall properly. Great, love them, will deffo buy more if needed. thanks.

I am a self-confessed IKEA convert – somewhat late, I agree, but better late.....Wanting to update my living room and in desperate need of storage I thought I might venture into my local IKEA store, but the thought of it gave me panic attacks. I've only ever set foot in one of those huge great square behemoths three times and aged rapidly during the experience. It's not the looking around, it's that feeling of being in the Twilight Zone, and the horror of not being able to find the hidden exit.Imagine my delight when I discovered some of it on sale here, on Amazon. Oh joy! There' sno stopping me - this is now the third piece of Kallax I've bought in the last couple of weeks; I love everything about if, from the sheer ease at which the whole thing slots together, to the sturdy robust build and the final look.It's simple and stylish – a bit like me.

I use this sideways for storing LPs , Keeps them in top orderFavourite ones go in top left cavity, them pop, reggae, classic, punk , blues etc , all easy to find now.Plus nice top for putting ornaments and lamp on
