ColumbiaMen's Newton Ridge Plus 2 Waterproof Mid Rise Trekking and Hiking Boots

Nice boots, they look good and they were comfortable, but even during the summer, in a mild shower, they were not waterproof. I subsequently sprayed them with the proper protector but they still leaked, so they went back. This is the second pair of Columbia boots I've had to return this year. The other pair, a different style, started to come apart after 3 weeks of wearing them for one dog walk per day. I've had some really good Columbia ski kit in the past but it seems that quality has gone off a cliff.

Standing in a puddle within minutes after first time using these boots.Not waterproof at all!! I wasn't crossing rivers or jumping In puddles, just walking through blueberry brush with morning dew on them.The top is basically moisture absorbent and will leave you with wet feet within minutes of a hike...Not great for a boot stamped with "waterproof" on it.I want my money back 😩

EDIT: las probé en Vancouver con temperaturas a -0° y se comportaron muy bien, la suela en nieve y hielo se sintió segura y con buen agarre. Definitivamente son a prueba de agua y se secan rápido, tener calcetines gruesos ayudó para el frío. Si vas a esquiar ó a nieve MUY densa, recomendaría una bota más alta, pero si sólo las quieres para senderismo ó climas fríos con mucha lluvia y algo de nieve están excelentes por el precio.Al leer las otras reseñas tenía duda en el tamaño y funcionalidad de las botas. Estoy muy impresionado con la calidad que se percibe y el ajuste fue perfecto. Mi familia compró botas por el doble de precio que no se ven, ni se sienten tan bien. Pedí 1/2 número más por las reseñas y aunque es más o menos atinado si usas una calceta muy gruesa, en realidad creo que pude haberlas pedido de mi talla específica sin problema, no vienen “chicas”.

I have wide feet. 11-eee is my size. I ordered the 12-wide, and then the 13-wide of these Columbia Newton Ridge II boots, and neither come close to fitting me... even sizing up 2 full sizes! Columbia clearly cut very narrow boots, so if you've got wide feet like me, you should look elsewhere! My boots are being returned and so far that's going well, so no real complaints, just a warning that these are no good for the wide footed!

El diseño, el color y los materiales se ven muy bien, me gustaron mucho pero lamentablemente para mi fueron muy incómodas, me las puse en casa y desde el inicio sentía que lastimaban de la parte del empeine, a los 10mins empecé a sentir molestias en la planta, el tamaño estaba bien, me entraban 2 dedos atrás pero desafortunadamente no fueron echas para mi y las tuve que regresar, por eso doy 3 estrellas...
