Can i use water from a nearby river to water these or would it have picked up too many minerals on its journey ?

Provide the river isn't contaminated it should be fine for them, rain water is the best choice for them

Do you plant these in one pot or 5 separate pots?

I am not the seller, but I have them in separate pots (but also a couple in separate locations) You could plant them all in one pot, but you would need to check the conditions each one requires. I would guess that at least 3 of the 5 will happily grow together in the right size container.

How many flies do these plants tend to catch per week/month?

My plants are kept in the open at the side of a small pond in my garden and catch small flies, ants and even small moths. They do not need you to feed them. They catch what they need. I do not feed them fertiliser but Hants Fly Trap publish a number of helpful leaflets on their care.Macroscopic pretty is also caught by some of the plants. Drosera sundews seem to be particularly effective at capturing flying prey. You could go back to Darwin's studies of these plants if you want real detail.
