Tell the Time Snap

I find this a great set of cards to help students between the ages of 8 and 12 to revise or learn the time. We play a number of games with them i.e. The two mentioned on the back of the package: snap and a memory game.We also play a version of Fish in the Pond (where each child starts off with a hand of five cards and they try to make up matching pairs taking turns to ask the person to their left if they have a particular card. If the person doesn't they 'Fish in the Pond' from the remaining cards in the centre of the table) and 'Kaboom'.In 'Kaboom' a set of cards with the same value are designated the 'hot numbers' e.g. twelve o'clock, 12.00, midday and noon. All the cards are put face down on the table. The students in turn turn up two cards and hope to make a matching pair. If they turn up a 'hot number' (in this case 12.00) they have to pass all the cards they have won so far to the person to the left.These games motivate the students to learn their clock time and give them a feeling of success and satisfaction.

These games are great - it comes everywhere with us, my 8 year old enjoys practising her time telling with a fun simple game.

Brilliant games! Kids absolutely love it! Really is helping them to learn to tell the time.

The cards each have one kind of time on them: digital or analogue clocks/watches, or a time written in words or numbers. Cover o'clock, half past and quarter to/past. They work well as a game with children who already are pretty good at telling the time but are not so helpful with those who are still learning because it takes so long to read the time on both cards and work out whether they are the same or not. With reduced numbers of cards, though, I use them for the child to pick out the sets of cards that all say 12:30 for example. A bit irritating that some are landscape and others portrait (short edge at the bottom) so you never know which way round to have your cards.

I purchased this for my 4 year old Grandson who is very bright and I try to have challenging educational toys to keep him from getting bored!This is a great fun idea for getting little ones to understand how to tell the time. Tell the Time Snap

We only needed to play it a few times and our Aspie kid got so cheesed off losing that she engaged with learning how to tell the time... Sneaky but effective!

These weren’t that good, wanted something that was fun and interesting, this item was too dull and boring.

Ein sehr interessantes und vielfältig einsetzbares Spiel für die Primarschule. Dieses Spiel bereichert den Unterricht und kann nur wärmstens empfohlen werden.

Bel gioco per ripassare l’orologio in inglese con i bambini. Il primo pacco aveva la scatola giusta ma le carte dentro erano di un altro gioco. Ho chiamato il servizio clienti e sono stati molto gentili e veloci, mi hanno subito mandato un altro pacchetto con il gioco giusto.
