Nintendo DSi/DSi XL / 3DS / 3DS XL USB Power Charging/Charger Cable

I find this works very well for charing a Nintendo 3DS XL and a good replacement for the original charger. And having a standard USB connector at the end means less bulk as the mains-electricity end is the same USB wall-wart I use for my phone, tablet and suchlike. And that means it's easier to charge the 3DS from a USB battery when out and about too.

Does not fit a nintendo 3ds ar all, don’t buy this if that’s your console.

I purchased this cable since my original 3DS cable was starting to fail on me. Needless to say; I was not disappointed. The USB was very convenient and when plugged into my 3DS, it worked great without any major issues or flaws. It charged my 3DS without any problem, via wall plug, computer USB, or other USB power sources from other places, such as in the car. Since its mostly a cable I can't really fault it, and I give it a 5/5.

Ordered to avoid having to carry round the official Nintendo charger with UK plug (and doesn't work against 110V). Charges my 3DS XL from a 1A USB power charger or from a laptop USB port. Has trouble charging the 3DS XL when it's on and wifi is running, but I think that's just the limit of current over USB and not a fault with the cable. Obviously charges most quickly when everything is off. Build quality seems good and what you'd expect - cable is thick enough without being awkward and can fold down easily to fit in the pocket in the lid of the official 3DS XL case. Came in a sealed bag inside a jiffy bag through the post: not in the box shown. However, I don't care about that.
