I really enjoy relaxing on the shore with a fishing rod or going out on a boat during the summer months. Catching fish with a lure is a good option when the sun is shining and this Dr.Fish Floating Lure Popper is beautifully finished and the scale effect is very convincing. It is supplied in a clear plastic pack to keep the hooks safe when handling and although the current price of £10.99 does seem a little expensive it is certainly well made. Not much of a consolation if it gets lost on a snag or if the fishing line breaks.The two treble hooks are sharp, one on the underside and the other positioned where the tail fin would be. They appear to have a galvanised finish and on the lure I received they have shown no sign of corrosion after multiple uses. The lure does cast well and has what I suspect to be a ball bearing inside to make it rattle and vibrate in the water to attract predatory fish. It does stay right on the surface of the water when retrieved slowly and shallow dives randomly during faster retrieval.I have been using it for Bass fishing with some success although no giants from the deep yet. The reflective finish is very eye catching as it moves through water on a sunny day and the fish I have caught were persistent in their pursuit of the lure.In summary a well made, life like fishing lure for surface fishing which in my experience works as I hoped it would. Recommended.
