These are excellent bath/shower valves that function well and are very reliable. I have sold and used these valves for years and have yet to repair a leaking faucet. They operate smoothly, and just like a traditional single lever faucet that is not pressure balanced, even though these are. These valve handles move left for hot, right for cold, and moderate in the center, with volume and temperature controlled with the same handle. These do not turn counter clockwise from cold to hot. The valves do not include the trim kits, which can be ordered to match your style and finish. Function, quality, and reliability, with a choice of finish trim kits in different styles, and backed by a lifetime drip free warranty. This is the only faucet I use at my home and my rentals. I think this is the very best valve, and at a reasonable price point.

Saved a lot of $$ buying this via warehouse deals. Item worked fine, except I mangled an O ring when putting water stops back in, but that is why I buy an assortment of "O" rings for such little things that happen along the road :)

Looks like there is a defect in the cast brass on the backside of valve. Leaks just a bit under water pressure. Re-plumbed entire bath and laundry room. Pressure test, this was the only leak. Good thing we tested before finishing wall an tile. I am a bit disappointed. The rest of the A.S. Trim parts look great, rough valve ruined my day. R120r120😕

I previously had a valve that was installed in my building prior to the invention of pressure sensing valves. It holds the temperature at a constant level. It's so nice to take a shower without having to worry about getting frozen or scalded out any more. The action on it feels smooth and substantial.

The plummer that installed it said it was the one he needed to make the new faucet work.

As another customer mentioned, THIS IS NOT A R120 VALVE! this valve comes with a twist type splined cartridge, not the square lift handle cartridge. Found this out months later after i finished the entire shower enclosure and was finishing up with the trim . What a cluster.

Bought all American Standard products for my bathroom update. Had this professionally installed, turn the water on and there is a leak from the brass on the back of the product, only on the hot water side. Will have to have this professionally taken out and a new one installed. So frustrating! I thought I was buying quality.

This is an excellent valve. Many modern shower valves offer no control over the volume of water that flows. This valve does, and that feature can be particularly important if you are using a hand-held spray.
