The weights etc are chrome plated and their circular flat surfaces are covered in a thin vinyl layer that matches the handle. **Q: Are there additional matching plates available for purchasing?** A: I have looked and been unable to find any. I have looked at the ProIron websites, and they seem to make it as a set only. From the design, the 3 plates overlap so that they do not scratch each other - they would have to make either a larger or smaller plate to avoid scratching, which they do not appear to do. Shame really. Would be delighted if someone can contradict me! **Q: Can you put more than 10kg on to one dumbbell** A: The weights supplied for each dumbbell are 2x2.5kg, 2x1.25kg and 2x0.5kg so if you use all of the plates on one bar you have 17kg of discs plus the bar and collars which will still screw on securely two thirds of the thread, bringing the total weight to 19kg! ## Frequently Bought Together - PROIRON Steel Dumbbell with Walnut Handle - 20kg Adjustable Dumbellsweights Set for Men Women, Hand Weight Pair, Free Weights for Strength Training Equipment Home Gym Fitness - PROIRON Dumbbell Weight Rack Walnut Wood Dumbbell Trays For Adjustable Dumbbell Set (Boxed in a pairs) - YOLEO Weight Bench, 660LB/300KG Adjustable Foldable Strength Training Bench, Utility Incline Decline Bench for Full Body Workout- Integrated Structure Updated --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.nl/products/48215758-20kg-adjustable-steel-dumbbell-with-solid-walnut-handle](https://www.desertcart.nl/products/48215758-20kg-adjustable-steel-dumbbell-with-solid-walnut-handle) --- *Product available on Desertcart Netherlands* *Store origin: NL* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
