Amazing Motherboard
After having this motherboard for almost a whole year I have only the best feedback about it. This thing is amazing! I love ASUS’s products and this one is exceptional. The BIOS is very clean and there are a lot of support videos out there on what settings to use. My PC is an all white build and the MB looks really clean in it. It is very fast to boot up and I run all kinds of games and have no issues with my setup. I know I went with DDR4 ram but honestly I don’t think DDR5 will make much of a difference for a while. There are plenty of USB ports on it but I do find myself using all of them. This is sitting in the ROG Hyperion PC tower and it looks like it was made specifically for it!

A great board for gamers and experts
Having had other boards from MSI and Gigabyte in the same z90 series, I was flooded by the options in both the bios and the the software. The board works hassle free, and works well with rgb devices. There are a couple things that really sticks out as positives. The first is the button release for graphics card. It worked wonderfully when I had to replace my GPU. The second is the vast array of NVMe slots. It was amazing to have of the options. If you know your storage runs a bit hot, you can locate them in a cooler place. I would recommend this board to any seasoned computer person, who loves having the freedom to try a little tweaking of the configuration.

Awesome but the first 3 something was wrong
Doa... Ok I am trying this one more time. So far it would boot with X8X8 not X16. This is a known issue. Now one of the 3 boards would boot at x16 but only B1B2 memory worked. So I hear ya maybe its the Graphics card mine is 4090. I also have 3080, Amd 570 they will not boot unless I go in to bois and change it from X16 to X8X8. NO I have nothing in M2 slot 1 which shares PCIE slot 1. So I am trying ONE MORE wby? Well A1A2 memory slot just stopped working would not boot until I removed A1 A2. Ok I hear you again maybe its my memory. Weeeeelll I just happen to have 5 different D4 memory and ALL will work in B1B2 but NOT A1A2. So.. I just got the 4th and stuck in the 4090 no M2's in the system and it booted right up at X16

S V I - Great seller!
This is a review specifically for the seller: SVI. SVI got my package to me quickly, shipping it out the next day after order was made. They got me exactly what I ordered, and while a bit pricey, well worth it during the RAM shortage. Additionally, I spoke with SVI before placing the order, and they assured me both that they had the product, and will be shipping me the correct board. The DDR4 compatible version. The package has come in perfectly, and is the DDR4 version.

What happened to ASUS quality control? Why the crapware?
Let me start by saying I will probably never buy another ASUS mobo ever again. The pain, frustration and countless hours wasted trying installing and uninstalling these detective mobos has left a surely bad impression. 2 out of 3 of the mobos I ordered were defective. 1st I ordered the ASUS ROG Strix Z760-A D4. Upon installation and boot up I got CPU Fan header error (common for ASUS now, google it) even though my AOI was correctly hooked up and CPU header. Had to go into BIOS and ignore the error. Trying to use it for a short period of time it kept crashing windows 10. Completely unstable. So, had to tear down pc again and remove. In the meantime I ordered another onr but decided to upgrade to the same board but the DDR5 version. That board was fine and worked properly, however I then realized I could not overclock it, but it did not have that feature. Misleading marketing made me think I could. So, I decided to return this one and upgrade to the ROG Strix Z790-A DDR5. Again had to remove all components and start over. 2 days later I get the new Z790 installed and boot up. Guess what? The same issues as the 1st faulty one. CPY fan header errors. Wouldn’t post, had to flash BIOS multiple times because it would freeze a ROG logo screen. Complete frustration at this point. I’ve removed the board again and have return in process. But that’s not the end of the story. So I went ahead and purchased the MSI Z790 Edge from my local Best Buy and have that installed now and running like a dream. So now I’m unable to uninstall all of the ASUS bundleware crap (AI suite, Amory Crate, Sonic Suite companion, etc.) All this crapware is extremely hard to remove from windows. Many others are facing theses same issues. If you google “remove AI suite” or “remove Sonic Suite Companion” you’ll see what I mean. Total bundle crapware. I will never buy another ASUS mobo again! Total QC failure and the crapware is almost as bad as malware! Shame on ASUS!

Best motherboard!
Really excited when I bought this. Came in on time. Everything is easy to install. One thing I did forget coming from Ryzen is that with Intel your supposed to install your drivers manually. With Ryzen all drivers should already be already installed. Plenty of USB slots for multiple devices. Hopefully my last build for a while.

ROG STRIX FTW
Ram speeds for me cant exceed 2666 stable. Im running 3200 trident royal and i just cant lol . But 32gb at 2666 does the job just fine had to rma ram as the mobo wouldnt boot with both sticks originally and only 1 . After rma’ing RAM it worked flawlessly. Needless to say. Asus/rog amazing
