EheimSubstrat Pro 2 Litre Biological Filter Media

I have a very overstocked Malawi tank(many hiding in the rock work). ,I used to have to do 50% water changes every 3-4 days. Since using 2 bags of this to replace the ceramic rings and activated charcoal in my external cannister filter I do a 50% water change every 3 weeks. Mind blowing really!

this media is very very cheap at this price. i have seen 1 litre boxes for sale at £16 or more so 2 liters is great bought to go with a 2213 over all fantastic

This has been a revolution for my biorb tank which is now much more sightly and better for the fish. It works the same as the biorb media but means fish don't get stuck between the lava rocks like some of the horror stories I have heard. It is much kinder if fish rest on the bottom.My tank looks better, give more options for fish and is a great upgrade for a biorb of any size. Yes it is expensive but it's worth it!

Best media. I already use 10L of Eheim Substrat Pro in my sump for over a year. Just wash it every 3 months and go. Water parameters are always good. You pay for quality

Great stuff maybe a little small

This product continues to degrade and lose the materials it is made from (fine sand, sintered glass). If you try to rinse the new product in a clear plastic bowl it consistently releases material during each cleaning rinse. The rinse water doesn't seem to clear even after 10 rinses and there is always a deposit of fine sand materials at the bottom of the bucket. I would therefore question the longevity of the product as it clearly breaks down consistently. The release of materials from the product may have implication for your filter system and, if used as a media at the bottom of your tank, the loose materials may need to be extracted with the use of an aquarium vac. I would suggest you have a look at other similar (and probably cheaper) manufacturers products, before getting this one! Following a full testing, the new biOrb product (Pearl Media) is a far better product, does the same thing, doesn't shed material and is cheaper.

Lo uso in una pompa Ehim professional 4+ in un acquario dove c'è una tartaruga d'acqua grande come una mano. Il substrato riesce a mantenere l'acqua piuttosto pulita per più di un mese in estate e per diversi mesi in inverno quando la tartaruga va in un semi letargo. Il substrato non riesce ad eliminare i cattivi odori dell'acqua dell'acquario.

Gute Filterleistung,langlebig,leicht auszuspülen.Feinfilter zusätzlich erforderlich.
