I have been contemplating extra freezer capacity for a while, but a recent main freezer fail made the decision a no-brainer. I live alone, do quite a bit of home cooking and also dividing ready made sauces or meals into single portions so there is less food wastage. My replacement under counter freezer had four drawers, but I often need just a little more space. This Russell Hobbs freezer gives me the equivalent of a drawer and a half extra space. Just right for me. It is in my kitchen, and is almost silent running. I needed an electrician to put in some extra sockets where this freezer had to go, but I'd been contemplating doing that too. I contacted the seller regarding the difficulty or otherwise of reversing the door. Their response was helpful, especially when I couldn't get the cover off the top of the hinge. Managed this, the suggested screwdriver and a bit of force proved adequate. However I found it quite difficult to remove the nuts off the top of the hinge, partly because I clearly didn't have the right tools - the mole grips proved the most useful. The nuts on the lower hinge were more difficult. Again mole grips were essential. The door is hinged on the right, however the manufacturing process is not as accurate with the holes for the bolts on the left. I kinda had to use a bit of force on both the top and bottom. Was surprised that there is a metal bar at back where the freezer stands - this is a tad rough round the edges and I stood freezer on a towel to prevent damage when the electrician needed to move it. Easy enough. One solid rubber foot at the front and the other is an adjustable one. All in all I am very pleased with this purchase, if you don't need to reverse the door it's as easy as pie to install. If you do want to reverse the door you might need a helping hand - though a female I am fairly used to d-i-y, but at 71 things are not quite so easy as they once were! Picture shows the freezer with dinners and sauces in the boxes, plus ice cream and a large frozen tart. There's room for more so I'd better get cooking! J

It doesn't take too much space. It keeps food frozen. It looks good. I bought this as a personal freezer which I had space in my bedroom to keep. It makes a small noise which is fairly quiet, it’s relaxing like white noise in my opinion and can still sleep easy so that’s nice. It fits a good amount of personal food. Easily 5-6 boxes of standard supermarket size pizza on the top shelf with space remains on the side for other food. The bottom holds lesser items than the top. Overall I’m satisfied with the storage space. I recommend!

My main freezer gave up the ghost a short time before Christmas. This was bought as a stop-gap until I could buy a replacement. It arrived in excellent time, several days earlier than stated and ready for Christmas food which was a much appreciated bonus. Neat, clean design, lots of room and works as expected. I have given only 4 stars because of the way it was packed. Unbelievably the base of the cardboard box was attached to the sides around the bottom with sticky tape... Anyone lifting it without holding the base would have found it crashing to the ground & it must have been pure luck that this didn't happen.

This really is an ace little freezer. It arrived two days ago. I let it stand for a few hours, switched it on and it is completely quiet. Today, it holds a medium packet of peas, 4 salmon fillets, a packet of calamari, 2 medium boxes of pumpkin soup cooked by me (each a good deep bowl), and 2 medium boxes of vegetable curry cooked by me (each also making up a substantial serving). There is still room left for me to cook at least two, possibly four, more boxes of chicken dahl which I plan to do tomorrow. I live on my own and get really fed up of having to throw out food which I cook (i..e., soups, chillies, curries), because I get fed up of the food night after night or they grow mould. I eat loads of fish. So, this little freezer is the perfect solution because I can mix cooking my own foods and buying in some frozen products. I also have a tiny kitchen so this freezer sits in the dining room next to my kitchen - it looks cool, sleek, and smart!

Like many of us, I have an "American" fridge/freezer. They are very useful but the downside on all of them is the size of the freezer space. I bought mine when I moved in 7 years ago but since then, I have struggled as most of my food is frozen because I live on my own. I decided that I had enough and decide to buy extra space. This was ideal as it sits next to my sink with room to spare. I left it for a few hours after deliver to settle and then put it in its place. It met the required freezer temperature very quickly (checked with my digital room thermometer) and it reached minus 12, only 2 degrees less than my very expensive fridge/freezer. That is impressive. Given the price, the performance and the size, this mini freezer comes highly recommended. It looks good in black too!

Bought as a backup for our most important frozen items when we had long term warranty issues with a larger freezer. Got us out of trouble many times. Worked well and reliable in the year we owned then sold on when we bought a better new large freezer.

i use it to save me going outside to my big one, it holds quite a bit of stuff but the ammount of packaging was attrocious, it absolutely filled my bin and trapped me in the wrong end of my kitchen for 24 hours til my granddaughter came to visit as i am 90 years old and couldnt move it from where the driver left it, he actually struggled in with it also, i thought it was a full size freezer when i saw the size of the box about 5foot tall, but no when the box was open it was just a small freezer with yards of brown paper stuffed inside, i have no compaints at all with the freezer it looks quite presentable and upto now is working ok. and it looks good on the worktop so would recomend it in a more suitably fittling box thank you
