KnitPro Symfonie Interchangeable Needle Starter Set, Multi-Color

Caveat: this is my first interchangeable needle set so I cannot compare against other really popular ones.I've been using some part of this set on an almost daily basis for the last 9 months and I'm really happy with it.The cables will be coiling and will not sit straight once you open the package. Put them in boiling water for a few minutes and they will unfold and work perfectly.The set comes with a clear plastic pouch for storing and sorting. This is really handy for me. I don't store the cables in there but all my interchangeable needles as well as my small DPNs. I can see everything inside without opening it which is always a plus. It's small enough to fit in a project bag.There pattern and colours on the needles themselves is lovely. Yay for items that are both beautiful and useful.I believe the cable length mentioned includes the needle length as well, not only the cable length - this was a little confusing to me as a beginner.There's another tool that allows you to join the cables themselves, which was helpful when I was knitting a cardigan flat and I needed a really long cable.I personally tend to prefer laminated wood over metallic needles - 90% of my needles are wood. They are less slippery with the yarn and I prefer the texture. So far I've used them with acrylic, superwash and non-superwash wool and they work great with all of these types of yarn. Just remember to cast on a little loosely or your first row of knitting will be a bit of a pain.Initially I didn't understand how to use the tightening tool, so the cables would become loose and the yarn would get caught on the screws. It was frustrating but since I learned how to tighten them I never had any issue.Since purchasing this set (which includes 4mm, 5mm and 6mm needles) I've also purchased a pair of interchangeable 3mm needles as well as a 40cm cable from the same brand and they all work seamlessly together with the initial set.The end caps are really helpful for when I need to put my work on hold to work on another part of the same garment (eg. sleeves) or work on another project that requires the same size needles.I'm really happy with my choice. It's really good value for money, especially for a beginner who's not sure whether they will continue knitting. Even though I did continue knitting and I've been pretty consistent for almost a year (that's an understatement, knitting is awesome), I still find I can complete most of the projects I want with this initial set plus a couple more size needles and cables, which is amazing. I only have 2-3 projects on the needles at a time though and I consider myself pretty slow knitter, so this may not be the case for everyone. Overall I love them and do recommend them.

Beautiful shades of wood - they look simple to use - I bought these on the recommendation of the very detailed review posted by an Amazon customer. I will certainly by buying more sizes and I will store them in the very handy clear pouch that the kit came in. Well worth the money, being high quality knitting accessories. Very happy with purchase.

These are really attractive and nice to use, however, I have not been able to tighten the screw fixing the interchangeable cable to the knitting pins and these tend to come partially unscrewed during use, meaning one has to be constantly tightening the fixing by hand after every 2/3 rows, which is very irritating. Maybe I'm not using the tightening gadget properly, but there are virtually no instructions and, really, not much choice about how to use the tightening tool.

Until last week, I was a frustrated knitter. I'd tried, numerous times, to learn how to knit on straight needles and it always ended the same; flinging needles down in frustration and confirming my notion that I was just too stupid to be able to knit.Well. I know the tool does not make the crafter a better person, but on this instance, I finally cracked it! I can knit, I can purl and I cannot wait to learn more. Smooth wooden needles, a secure cable and excellent instructions - I'm less likely to loose stitches and the cable needles are extremely easy to use. Beautiful colours, no snagging of the yarn and secure fitting.Definitely a knitting convert!

I had a wee bit of a challenge when the stitches I cast on didn't stretch around the cable (despite it being the right length) - and realised I probably cast on too tightly & neatly. But once I got around that (I took the needles off the cable & knitted the first round with just the cable ends) it was an absolute joy to knit with.The colour and lightness of the wood, and the smoothness of it were a perfect partner for the lovely yarn I was using.I only had to tighten one of the cable connectors once during my pattern.I'm absolutely delighted with the set - well worth the extra money and I can't wait to use them again! They come in a neat little package that was very high quality. Only slightly odd thing was that the cable lengths aren't marked on them or their pouches, so need to refer back to the main packaging to confirm cable lengths.

Have recently started knitting, and found that the ends of straight knitting needles were constantly rubbing the top of my leg making it sore. Having read reviews about circular knitting needles being used for other than circular knitting, I decided to try them as the needle itself was small.I opted for these as there were interchangeable lengths in the cables so gave greater flexibility. The items themselves have been lovely to work with, the colours very jazzy and the clear pouch keeps all the items nice and tidy. I have (to date) had no problems with the cable unscrewing. The only issue is that the needle size was difficult to see and is now wearing off. However as I keep the needles in the separate compartments provided in the pouch, this is not really a problem.It is a pity that Knit Pro do not do a similar pack with half sizes. This pack only has 4mm, 5mm and 6mm, yet a lot of (simple) patterns I have looked at recommend using 5.5mm or 6.5mm.

Didn't know if I would like these knitting needles, but when I was given a gift card, I decided to treat myself. Just finished my first project using them. Easy to hold, and they are very smooth - no dragging or stretching the stitches. Very pleased. Great idea to have interchangeable cords of different lengths; nice and versatile.

Rispetto ad un altro set di ferri circolari acquistati ad un prezzo molto inferiore (per intenderci quelli in bamboo, con filo trasparente fisso venduti a set di diverse misure) non c’è davvero paragone! Sono comodi, scorrevoli, la punta non si incastra, la lana scorre liscia sul legno e lavorare è davvero un piacere! Io preferisco il legno rispetto agli altri materiali per lavorare la lana e sono veramente contenta di questo set. In futuro prenderò sicuramente le altre misure per lavorare lana più grossa. Il fatto di poter cambiare la lunghezza del filo sullo stesso paio di aghi a seconda del lavoro che si andrà a fare è davvero molto comodo! Con gli altri ferri circolari con filo fisso la lunghezza del filo non era mai quella che mi serviva ed era davvero scomodo! Consigliatissimi!

I loved them, this is an AMAZING product and really worth the wait and the price, I can not be more please with them. I recommend this 100%.

Preciosas, se nota muy buena calidad y acabados. Son muy suaves y se deslizan en el tejido. Las circulares son muy cómodas porque no tienes el peso del tejido colgando de la aguja, sufren menos las muñecas y los hombros. Se me retuerce un poco el cable pero creo que es por mi falta de experiencia. El único fallo que le veo es que el nº debería estar grabado, no pintado. Después de hacer un proyecto se me ha borrado el nº 6.

It drive me crazy tried to straiten he cable

Esta marca me encanta, son maravillas esta guías, la lana desliza muy bien, son intercambiables, los colores de la madera es muy bonita. Los tengo en las otras medidas también. No las cambio por nada, una gozada tejer con estas agujas. Vienen varias medidas y además 3 cables con la llave para intercambiarlas. Muy versátil.
