Post-menopause - and I mean by a few years - weird things start happening to your body, including your vagina - which "atrophies" - what??!! This is not as bad as it sounds, means the lining thins, and the vagina is no-longer self-cleaning or self-lubricating. I've had various issues with this, such as minor but irritating infections with unpleasing smell. Those are because the vagina does not maintain its previous normal pH of 4 (surprising huh, sounds like a citrus fruit), which among other brilliant vaginal attributes kept the bad bacteria at bay. I tried many lotions and potions, but this 'wash' seems the best - generally soothing and somewhat helpful; it really tests, with litmus paper, at the correct pH of 4 unlike most vaginal washes which are pH7 which is exactly what the atrophic vagina is already at. An external wash can't do it all though and is best used in combination with a low-level estrogen cream (which my doc said i can use despite history of breast cancer, b/c its local). (I'm not a doc, so ask yours of course.)

I have tried several “lady washes” and have to say, this one has an amazing flowery scent - no, your “downstairs” won’t smell like granny or some crazy sweet “Caribbean sunset”. Foams up nicely and leaves a nice, clean feeling. No burning or itchiness!!! Will definitely add this to my subscriptions!!

I love Sebamed products and I order this every month on subscribe and save along with a fiew other of their products. I gave it 3 stars only because it's highly priced because it's coming from Germany, however I cant find and skin care comparable to the quality in ingredients in any USA products as all Sebamed products. And I'm worth it baby. Ik buy this for sebamed baby bar and re every lotion for me and my grandkids. Me for aging and grandkids because they have eczema but not any flare ups since using sebamed. Believe me we had tried everything. Highly reccomend
