Amazing torch. With the LED upgrade you can literally light up the moon. Powerful enough to reach every corner of my huge garden. Robust and great quality, this feels like a solid bit of kit. As a side note we changed the bulb back to the xenon one for some tasks as the LED one is blinding for close up work. Great to have both options. I’d recommend buying the LED upgrade.

I was looking for a 3 cell to replace one I bought 20 years ago,unfortunately I left the batteries in too long whilst out of use and couldn't remove one battery.This is by far the cheapest 3 cell around,and it ships from the US.Only took 5 days to arrive. Have upgraded it with an led bulb,what a difference in light output. Just remember to remove the batteries every so often.

Great weight, perfect with led bulb replacement, but less so with default bulb. Very bright and good length. I have 2 now, one for the home and one for the car. Perfect for keeping labour voters at bay as well as their imports.

Amazing value. I think this was the best price anywhere, shipped from Germany and received in 3 days. Genuine, and with a 10 year guarantee (not that you’ll need it). I bought this 3 ‘D’ Battery version to replace my 31 year old 2 ‘D’ Battery version that served me exceptionally well until the Duracell batteries leaked inside it due to a year of no use (always check the batteries regularly, I’ve learned the hard way that they either swell and can’t be removed or leak and destroy your torch). Anyway the new one is brilliant (as expected by the brand) but I can highly recommend upgrading it by swapping the bulb for an LED one. What an amazing transformation, literally blinding! You won’t believe how much better it is with an LED bulb!

I bought two of these, one in black and the other in blue, after a series of power cuts and stumbling in the dark in the garden to the greenhouse. While they haven't had extensive use they've been brilliant. The light and beam are bright and strong and after almost a year i haven't had to change the batteries. I went for this slightly larger size to make it easier to find them during power cuts etc. and it's worked, as the size means they don't get buried under stuff.

Purchased this for my father when it was "advertised" at roughly £40 with Prime Delivery, the comparison between Maglite's products at the bottom of the page clearly stated the beam was "LED", which it was not. The beam is weak and struggles to light up a medium sized room, the torch feels light and cheap compared to a £15 Watchman's Torch that was purchased from a Highstreet shop last year. It feels like if this torch was to be dropped once it would snap in two. Even for the currently advertised price, which is around £25 with shipping from America, you can get a torch with much better build quality and a much, much stronger beam. This torch is worth no more than £10. If you want a torch like this go to a Highstreet shop.
