Aken Multi Function Child/Shock Proof Kids Cover Case with Stand/Handle for Apple iPad 2nd / 3rd / 4th Generation Tablet (iPad 2/3/4, Rose)

Our old iPad has now essentially become our toddler's device for watching TV in the mornings, and thanks to this cover she can chuck it around to her heart's content (also means she can hold it more easily). We get another half hour snoozing - winner!Some people have commented that it makes the home button hard to press... Well, it does a bit, but if you have a curious toddler, again this is a positive as it means they can't constantly exit the app supposed to be entertaining them and open your email etc.

First impressions, very poor quality. Slippery in the hands and it arrived with black marks and dents all over it (images attached to show this). Also exact same item is for £6.99 on another website with free delivery. Very difficult to get iPad into the case without warping the material. Home button very difficult to press unless force is used and pushed in. Not really anything good to say about this product, avoid.

Bought this for my 4 year granddaughter. It arrived on time. Once fitted the cover looks fine and provides good protection for the ipad in the event it was dropped etc. Be aware however its a two person job fitting it. It arrives with no guidance. There is a black piece of plastic in the centre which you have to remove. Thereafter you have to squeeze the ipad into the plastic frame. Trust me I ended up with my wife holding the cover and me using the handle of a tablespoon prising the cover up and over the ipad frame. I was aware I was at risk of breaking the screen. As I say once fitted it does the job and she loves it.

Primarily used for the grandchildrens' ipads and it provides great rough and tumble protection. I am happy that it doesn't come with a flimsy plastic screen protector as I prefer to fit the toughened glass protectors that go on so easily and never have air bubbles underneath them!The case gives easy access to the cable charge point (we have had other makes that require the ipad to be removed in order to put in the charge cable) and the carrying handle is useful for the children. When they play games they rest it on their laps and so it really doesn't matter that the case does not easily stand up in portrait mode .... but who uses an ipad like that anyway except perhaps for selfy photosA good all round fit and protection and the whole screen is visible .. but you will need a straight shaped earphone jack if you are going to use them ... but we don't for the children

Checked the serial number before purchasing on the product guide. It was listed and said it fit. I had read a previous review that said it was tight, but fit fine with a little pushing and shoving.On removing from the packaging I could tell this wasn't to be the case. With some brute force I managed to get the ipad in but the foam cover was literally bulging around it, you couldn't use the Home button without pushing your finger under the foam. Volume and mute buttons couldn't be used, inserting charging cable was a mission and removing it even harder - impossible for a small child.Oh, and the ipad cannot be turned on or off while in the case.Returning for a refund as this isn't fit for purpose.

This is a very good product exceeding expectations! Kids are very happy and me as well after other cases offer less protection and a couple of Brocken digitizers. Highly recommended. Easy to get in and out with thought fit. I had to use a thin strip of foam to prevent the iPad to go completely in so as to have the cameras centered on the case openings. Also, charging port cover is a bit springy so cable is getting some stress here. I just used a blade to cut a slot on the hinge to may it less springy. Still very happy with this purchase. iPad stands very stable...

Like other reviews, I have bought this to save myself another £50 visit to get the screen on my old ipad repaired. (tbf it was the husband, not the kids who broke it last time). Since my 2 year old has taken a shine to it, I bought this to protect it. It is made from similar material to sturdy swimming pool floating toys, so feels lightweight. However, having had it for a few weeks now I felt I needed to update my review. The material seems to be thick which causes problems with the ipad overheating and subsequently malfunctioning. Having removed it, the ipad is now working properly again and has cooled down a lot.

This solved the problem of how to safely let my 2 year old use the old iPad without putting the device, him, or the furniture at risk. It fitted our iPad 4 snugly. I had to get a knife out to cut away the protection for the home button because it was just too hard to press. With this modification it works splendidly. It dropped on our stone patio and no damage done, so the case is doing its job. Plus the handle makes it easier for my son to pick up and walk around with. Recommended.
