Not strong enough
The M8 sized remover was not strong enough even for a shallow screw. It snapped off on one side with just hand pressure. I then tried the other side of the spline and then it shattered. The drill bits supplied are also not the best quality for the price. The bolts also seemed like they had been used previously and one was covered in dirt/soot. The plastic box was chipped at the front. In the end I used my own high quality drill bits to drill through the screw and re thread the hole.

These extractors are fairly strong . No extractor can withstand abuse or improper use but these are well made . If used properly , these do work . I misused the smallest size and broke it necessitating replacement , but it took quite a bit of force to break it . That is testament to the quality and strength of rigid tools . If you’re having trouble extracting a fastener , it’s likely another method needs to be used , such as heat . If I had used heat , I would have had a successful extraction the first time and most likely not broken the extractor . This is a well made and well thought out extractor system . It up to us to have a well made plan before breaking our tools . I do believe that this set is the right tool for the right execution if you’ve got the right plan . This is the kind of extractor that is needed to work a bolt or stud loose . This set is designed to move in and out , back and forth to get the threads moving. It’s up to us to apply heat and penetrating oil properly or at least choose the right method for success . No tool is a miracle , it’s the method employed . This tool set is a better tool to apply , accompanied by a better method .

I've owned these from Snap-on to Ridgid tools. Rigid is much cheaper and can be broke just as easy as the Snap-on tools. But if used with care and caution these bolt/stud removal tools are the best. An Easy out will put external pressures into the threaded holes when removing a busted fasteners, however these spliced shaft will grip the entire drilled hole without creating external pressures amazing in brass, copper or aluminum. 5 Star+ purchase remember they are smaller for fine to midsized fasteners second to none. Will it remove a 2.5" diameter bolt absolutely NO NEVER!!!

Worked very well for what I needed (remove rusted bolt after head broke off). Seemed a bit pricey but much Better than other extractor kits I’ve used. Glad to own this for future use.

This set did not work great for me. I tried to free up frozen bleeder screws with no success.
