THEN Adjust to 6.9 with provided mini screw driver.I’ve tested this in multiple solutions and know it’s working within .1-.2 accuracy. For £8 I paid that is EPIC.If usIng for plants. Add all plant foods FIRST, then Luke warm water. Stir with fork or something with probe on and at water line. Let oh stabilise then add either PH up or down (depending on your needs) DROPS at a time. They are usually super potent. Stir all the time and keep eye on meter.Works well 100%

I like that this is a 1 point manual calibration device. Much more simple that the 3 point calibration ones where you have to buy the powder, which isn’t cheap for how often you need to calibrate it, and also the deionised water! They do provide 2 sachets of calibration powder but the instructions say it’s a 1 point manual device so not sure why they give you the 2 different powders? I already had the Essentials Vitalink ph buffer 7 and it was perfect. This was quick and easy to get started. The screwdriver is more than competent and it’s got a metal head, not plastic like some of the reviews say. Adjusting the reading is really sensitive but once it’s done it’s fine. Thought I’d try this before going out and paying £30+ for a higher spec one. I’m not disappointed and so far I feel it’s a great little ph meter for the price but it’s early days yet. Let’s hope it lasts. My advice is to buy this device and get the buffer solution and that’s all you need.

...as my old expensive meter rotted away eventually.The included batteries were not powerful enough for accurate calibration as the reading was skewed between about 12 to 18. With fresh batteries everything was correct.The calibration screw itself is plastic and recessed next to the clip on the back. It's larger than the brass screws on other metrrs. Use a biggerscrewdriver than the one supplied to avoid damage. I'm (now) using a plug-tester sized screwdriver.The plastic top pulls out to access the three button cells. The top also incorporates a thumb switch.Important Note: I didn't use the powdered calibration solution as I'm not convinced I could accurately determine the required temperature as most thermometers are miles out and I already had some old solution. I'm confident it was good as it checked out on my water supply of 7pH.I'm happy with it. A rare bargain.

as said on another product review just above, recently rediscovered/found out that my plants would prefer water that is a certain PH and the stuff from the tap is a bit high, so got one of these to test, so that when im watering my onions and beans and such they get the right PH,works really well, so simple to use, the number reader is clear and easy to read i thought, quite happpy (sadly i cant PH the rain that falls and fix that, :( )

Easy to use. Came with batteries already supplied and calibrated from the start. Compared it with the pH liquid I have been using for awhile now and being digital is much more accurate and quicker to use than comparing a sample in a test tube then checking a color chart, emptying, cleaning, adjusting and re testing. Glad I brought one.

This pocket sized ph meter worked well and the readings were accurate and the build is durable. The design is nice and smart and the display is easy to read. This pH meter is good for testing the acidity or alkalinity of liquids.You also get a carry case and a screwdriver for adjustments.

Works perfectly but beware it’s not waterproof. Mine has rusted and stopped working after 4 months . Need to keep it dry in between use . I’m getting another one as it’s so reliable and learning from my mistake .

This is a great ph tester. Easy to use and not over expensive like some of them are.Easy to calibrate aswell.Definitely recommend
