SH-2 Magnetic Stirrer with Analog Hot Plate (UK PLUG)

Bought this to homebrew my own steroids, better than doing it on the hob. Gives more hands free and making a monotonous job a bit more appealing. Works great and a good price.

Nice piece of kit and saves me a lot of work when mixing up my own vape liquid. Heats quickly and to a consistant temperature. It is runing for approx 4 hours at a time and is very silent when operating. It should be obviouse but given it is a HOT plate do not leave unattended for lengthy periods or in an area where children could touch it while in operation. The only reason for the loss of 1 star is i have used it probably around a dozen times for approx 4 hours at a time and on one occasion the spinning mechanism didnt activate. I didnt have to do anything except turn off the spin and turn it back on. Other than that it has worked flawlessly. Overall a great piece of kit for my needs.

This is pretty much pointless unless you get lucky and have te exact size container needed , as the magnet spins underneath the magnetic bar needs to be sat exactly in line with the magnet plate underneath and if its not well the bar doesn't spin correctly and it attempts to basically fly out of the container as the magnets now strart to fight eachother. Buy something better or regret this purchase like me. .. video and photo attached as you can see the stirrer cant even manage 50ml of hot Syrup

Fast delivery. Used for a month now with no problems. Happy with purchase. Came with a two pin kettle type lead which was easily replaced by a three pin UK standard which worked. I got what i needed which is worth the feedback i've given. Thanks.

I love this ! It’s almost always on as I am using it for my electroforming and it never disappoints!

Made some hissing and cracking sounds along with a strange smell the first time I used the heating feature. Other than that it seems alright. On max power and with stirring off its able to boil water, though it takes some time. Instruction manual says the hotplate "will take around 20~30 minutes to boil a large beaker of water", though for me it took around 20 minutes to boil 250ml. More appropriate glassware or a cover on the top of your beaker should let it boil faster or to use stirring while boiling. The claim that it can heat to 380°C seems suspect. The 1L capacity also seems optimistic. Not many other options at this price point, so it might be right for you.

Bought to do random experiments with, and oh boy, I didn't think it would heat up so well. I first had a glass jar with some water in it, and with the heating up to halfway, it was boiling water off the top of thebplaye. Next thing, I was heating something up in a glass candle jar, and had to go to the bathroom. Well I forgot to turn it off. I came back to the stuff burnt onto the glass, and glass shattered 😅. So it works REALLY well, almost too well lol. I learned now to stay around when I'm using it, or turn it off when I'm not. It does have a slight noise from the motor that spins the magnets for magnetic stirring, but it's not super loud or annoying. Plus, I'm giving it the benefit of a doubt due to it being new still, so maybe down the line when it wears in it'll start running quiet. Very happy with this purchase! In my photo, I moved the glass jar over because I did kind of burn some stuff on the plate, maybe it'll come off, but I'm not worried as I doubt it'll really affect its heating capability. I'm definitely going to need a thermometer or find my thermocouple for my multimeter so I can watch the temp instead of trying to guess, and to mark down temps I'll mainly use on the dial.
