New to Juicing
I am new to juicing and I just love this book! It has so many yummy recipes and it gives just enough information on the nutritional aspects of the ingredients. My favorite part is the customized recipes for just about any ailment you can think of. It's easy to read and well written. I have never liked greens before and they have many recipes to help mask the taste. There are detailed sections on vitamins and their function. This is an excellent home remedy book for all juicers. It has recipes for weight loss, asthma, detox, bloating, cancer fighting, heartburn, the list goes on. I don't feel the need to buy any other juicing books at this point.

All that I hoped for and more
This book provides recipes, discusses the pros and cons of different juice "regimens," offers nutritional and caloric values for each recipe, even which juice will help with a particular ailment or deficiency. I have used this book many times and can refer to it for any question I have, as it is nicely designed and organized in chapters that are easy to access. A thorough Index and comprehensible Table of Contents also makes it enjoyable to read and understand. I'm so glad I bought this book.

Great recipes, bad set up
I really like the content of this book, I really like the recipes, but I really DO NOT like the way the recipes are set up. The book is "sectioned off" with different chapters and the recipes are mixed in with health info- which in theory is really great- you can see what recipes are good for what you just read. However, it's not so great when you want to thumb through and find a recipe based on what produce you have. I wish the recipes were all together in the back of the book, and the info just referenced to recipe names / page numbers. Instead, at the end of each chapter, there is a handful of juices that are "good for __" (detoxing, cancer, asthma, etc.. whatever chapter you're reading)That being said, there is a lot of good information for the newbie juicer. I've tried a handful of recipes and have liked them all (my favorite is the Bloody Caesar). To me, its set up more like a text book rather than a recipe book. Which is okay, because you do get a lot of info, I have just found it "difficult" to find a recipe based on ingredients. I'm usually not looking for a recipe because its good for my asthma, I'm looking for a recipe because I have X, Y, Z produce and want to know what would be good together. If you're new to juicing though, I think this book is a good one to start with since you do get so much information on the health benefits and cautions you need to take when juicing.

Everything means everything!
Each of the 16 chapters contain answers to common questions, important snippets of information, urgent warnings, or quick handy tips. Chapters include The Juicing Revolution, Gearing Up for Juicing, Basic Juicing Ingredients, Juicing for Weight Loss, Juice Fasting, Juice Detoxing and Cleansing, and many more. The book and recipes are broken into several different catagories according to your health needs such as "good for reducing back pain", "good for hair - skin - nails", "good for reducing ADHD", "good for easing respiratory disorders", etc.Juice fasting is fully explained including a safe way to re-introduce foods. It is very interesting, and I keep referring to different sections of the book over and over. This is a complete guide to juicing, and I would recommend it to anyone new to juicing.

Has a lot of words I don't need, but maybe you will
I bought this book and "The Big Book of Juices" at the same time as I bought my first juicer, based on reviews here at Amazon.com. I like the Big Book of Juices better. This book is okay, but chock full of health claims for all sorts of juices and foods. I really don't need the health claims. I stopped reading them after a few pages. If you're buying a juicer, you probably already know that fresh juice is good for you, so you don't need all that health info. I suppose it might be more useful to someone not sure of what they are getting into, or someone who is looking to ameliorate a certain ailment. There are also plenty of recipes, different from the other book, and the ones I've tried so far are good, so it was not a waste of money.

My favorite of all my juicing books
I have tried many, many juicing books over the years and some were too far out for me, some too complicated, some just really tasted awful, some delved too much into the glorious miracles brought about by juicing. I am well-aware of the benefits of lots of fruit and veggies, but hesitant to assign miracles to any one combination. I am also very busy. No matter how dedicated I am to good health habits, I require two things: little prep time and good taste. This book is the one I recommend to all my friends with busy lives and the need for tasty, quick whole food drinks as they rush about their lives. I also recommend my favorite masticating juicer, the Omega J8006. It is small enough to carry with me when I travel, and very easy to clean. If you do not use an easy-to-clean juicer with continuous feed and have some really tasty recipes you will quickly decide that juicing is too much of a hassle and it does not have to be. By the way, for the folk that insist that drinking juice instead of eating the whole food eliminates the important fiber, the nutritional info with each recipe shows that to be incorrect. The "rough" fiber that irritates the colon is eliminated, making juicing an excellent option for any kind of IB sufferers. I eat no grains due to irritation, otherwise eat a clean diet and am an avid juicer. I am 70 years old and in better health with more energy than in my youth.

Great Information!!
I needed a juicing book that not only gave me recipes, but gave me information about each drink. This book does everything I need it to do. It talks about nutrients your body needs, what nutrients are in what food and which juices will help you lose weight, get great hair and nails, and everything in between. It provided recipes, information about fruits and veggies, how to juice, how to choose a juicer based on what you want it to do, and lots more. Great book for beginining juicers.

Great book!
I haven't read the whole thing, but every question I had is answered in this book and the recipes are first class. I don't think my juicer will end up in a cupboard or thrift store... and this book is the reason why. I bought The Juicing Bible too... I like the two of them together, they bring different things to the table, so to speak.

Juice everything for weight loss success - but, its expensive.
I love this book and I love my Kenwood Juicer but golly it was quite a shock to discover how much fruit and veg was required in order to obtain one 250 ml. glass of juice. Despite this, the juices I have tried have been wonderful but I don't do it too often.
