The Gourmet Girls Go Camping Cookbook: Amazing Meals Straight from Your Campfire!

I thought it was a cute book, but it wasn’t REALLY what I was looking for. For one thing, it seems geared towards people who are richer than I am and who do a lot of drinking, which I don’t do.I was looking for a camp cookbook that went beyond hot dogs, hamburgers and beans. But not so bourgeois.

I love camping and I really LOVE this cookbook. Every recipe that I try is dinner~party worthy. And the spiral bound design make it easy to keep pages ready. It's also a great reference guide for camping gear and supplies. Thank you ladies for combining two of my favorite hobbies: Camping and Gourmet Cooking!! Looking forward to the next edition.

Gourmet Girls recipes are a great addition to camping. What a treat!

I imagine the Kindle edition is great, but this book arrived in the mail and I was surprised by it's sturdy spiral construction. This book isn't going to fall apart like so many of my cookbooks do. Easy format and great recipes. I'm looking forward to giving them all a try. This cookbook would be a great gift for the men and women in your life who love to cook...indoors or outdoors. I'm sure I'll order another copy soon.

This book makes me want to go camping with these women! The recipes have clearly been tested, and they cover everything from Lovely Libations to Divine Deserts. I got this book as a Christmas gift and it's already full of post-its marking things I want to try. My camping days may be behind me, but I suspect that dishes like Bison Chili and Cast Iron Ratatouille will also be delicious at a backyard cookout. Yum!

I am fessing up front I know all these gals and 2 of them for alotta years. Now the reason I am saying this, is I have been eating at Denise Woolery's table over 20+years and watched Lindsey grow up from age 7. You cannot eat anything Denise prepares without groans of happiness as her food hits the olde tastebuds. She is hands down my favorite chef; the layered nuances of her recipes, knowing what to add to take a dish from yummy-yummy to OHGD! fantastic is beyond me how she does it. She has down the years told me how to make so oh! many recipes, my morning eggies are better for it too.Lindsey has grown up to be a beautiful young woman with so Many Accomplishments, her simply marvelous whimsical illustrations and hip smart fun-loving writing ability. You just have to keep on reading to see what she says next. Top Marks honey!I had the honor to go camping w/these 3 gals, and to watch them set up (boy are they prepared!) is so easy, as each takes a task to set up camp. Within a short time we had glowing coals, hot coffee and the first course was being prepared for the fire pit. I was able to rest in the knowledge of their camping expertise and cooking skills; the food was superior, the laughing and cool chill of pine scented air…The book is sturdy, can be flipped half size, is filled with all kind of tips and Denise thought to include all the Vegetarian dishes under Veggie! and there is loads of veggie dishes, that's handy. You will delight in this marvelous offering grab one and start cooking your favorites. It's truly a work of love...

It is chock full of great ideas and tips to make your camping experience incredible! The Gourmet Gals are an adventurous group who make glamping look fun, accessible, and totally doable. I love their use of local produce, creative cooking utensils, and amazing combinations! Check out the section on Libations ... adorable. Love the 50's style graphics. A worthy addition to my house of books. Buy it today, you won't regret it!

This book has changed my mind about camping. I used to hate the stark simplicity and inconvenience of preparing food outdoors. With their fabulous ideas and how-to tips, I'm now inspired to be a gourmet girl myself and go camping again. Great, fun book!
