Toni & Guy Deep Barrel Hair Waver, 32 mm - Black

I ordered this hair waver as I wanted to have big beachy waves. What I like is you can get fairly close to the scalp, although you have to watch you don't get too close to the scalp as it does get very hot, you don't want to burn yourself. My waves can start quite high of my head which is just my preference as I don't like my hair too flat to my head. This waver is very similar to a hair crimper, but much bigger leaving you with zig zag style waves rather than curls. It doesn't take long to do, so much quicker than curling with a hair wand. My hair is quite fine and I do find with this the results lasts a long time which is fab! It is quite heavy to hold, but once you get he hang of it is so easy to use. I'm very happy with this product. Its relatively cheap compared to others on the market and once you get the hang of it, its easy to use,

This was bought for my daughters as a gift as we aren’t very good at using straightens to curl hair so I needed something much easier and quicker to achieve waves, and this is fab. Large loose waves can be achieved quickly and easily. One has thick hair and one has thin hair but it works on both hair types. My daughter with thinner hair kept her wavy hair for a couple of days, but with thicker hair, it dropped out after she slept on them. The only negative is that the curlers get really hot, both sides, inside and out so very easy to burn hands, I probably wouldn’t let my daughters use them on their own hair. Overall, very easy to use and waves looked big and bouncy - the girls were extremely happy with their hair.

I am really impressed with this product. I am rubbish at doing my own hair , I wear it straight every single day and have done since I was a teenager. I can never manage to work hair appliances like curlers etc so I'm not willing to fork out loads of money ! These are so simple you literally cannot do it wrong. These photos are from my first attempt and I have long thick hair , it only took about 10 minutes to do and it still looked perfect the next day too! My 9 year old also wanted me to try them on her hair and she loved the result, it actually lasted about 4 days ! I got them on prime day so they were less than £20 which is just a bargain. I did have an issue with the first pair , they didn't switch on at all, but a replacement was delivered the following day so I can't complain. They are a little heavy to hold but not so heavy that I couldn't manage . Would definitely recommend .

Creates beautiful waves. I've only used it on freshly washed hair so far so the waves fell out quite quickly, I can imagine on hair washed the night before they'd stay in a be super wavy. I used it on temp number 17, the issue I found is that the temperature dials spins really easily so when you're handling it the dial turns without realising until you notice the waves not as prominent. UPDATE... noticed a lock switch now, assume this locks the temp? The other issue I found was that it's quite tricky to use, the front bits of hair are easy and look lush, now I don't know about others but doing it the correct way round to create the wave you want without burning your head is so tricky at the sides toward the back of the head! Will certainly take some practice! Overall definitely worth the money. It doesn't take long to do the entire head at all and creates a lovely effect. I was surprised how lovely!

Great product

I’ve tried many many curlers and added this one to my collection. I have super fine and thin hair which is shoulder length so like to add a little wave or curl to add some body. I had high hopes but it literally put a right angle in my hair and I looked like worzel gummage! However my 6 year old that has beautiful long hair it turned her hair all beach wavey and was gorgeous. So highly recommend for long hair.

Really good if the desired look is beach waves and helps the hair to hold waves for a good amount of time. Quick and easy to use, have had for a while now and still works fine. Good price.

I ordered this on a whim on a £10 offer and I honestly didn't think it would be very good for the price. Hands up, I was so wrong! I've got an above chin length asymmetric bob and despite having a Dyson Airwrap I just can't get the zig zag 'curls' - my hair just gets a lot of volume but not in a way that I wanted This arrived next day and I'm so impressed with it. Firstly is a well build great quality build. The temperature is completely variable and the waver locks for easy storage. The lead is nice and long too. It's quite heavy but it needs to be when you see the plates. I got my defined zig zags by using a LOT of heat protection spray on freshly washed and dry hair. I clamped near the root, held for 10 seconds then moved the wand down to do the ends. To keep it lookingike this I had to wait til it was completely dry before fiddling with it but you must try not to touch if if this is the look you're after. I did my waves on clean hair and although they obviously dropped out my hair still looked good for the next 3 or 4 days. This is an amazing but of kit if you're after this specific style and it's so easy to use!

Not happy with the product. Takes a lot of time to heat up. And does not work as described
