went together fine and looks great .chrome and workmanship same deal. can't comment on how long it will keep it's appearance. a slight negative though..it fit the docking spools of my 2014 chief vintage very loose. i ended up stretching 1 inch sections of a bicycle inner tube ( 2 layers ) over each of the 4 docking points to increase their diameter. it now fits as it should and now does NOT clunk and rattle when hitting a bump. I very much recommend using thread locker ( loctite or similar) for all the assembly bolts. seems to be a pretty good product...shame we can't make 'em in the usa for the same price?

Very high quality and what I've been looking for. It may be used as a back rest but for my use is for a travel bag to rest against, I have a luggage carrier mounted on my rear fender.

This sissy bar is solid construction and looks great on the bike. The problem is ow uncomfortable this bar is for the co-rider. When the bike accelerates, it feels like a rock on the co-riders back.. The support needs to be wider in the top of the bar. Here, comfort was sacrificed for the style. For some people, the looks are the bottom line, so if that is you- this is a great option.

very sturdy and solid, so why not 5 stars. there are a set of holes, one on each side for the quick release arm, problem is the hole on the arm doesn't match the hole on the bracket, so you cannot put it back in to secure; it is all the way locked and on correctly, but it looks like when the holes were drilled, the arm was beyond the lock position. it's on and secured, but sad that i had to modify it to make it happen. Overall really nice piece for a fraction of the Siouxide Choppers one.

The materials and fit are top notch. It fits and works perfectly on my 21 springfield darkhorse. Only downside is that it doesn't fit with the fender to bag filler panels. So those had to get removed, otherwise, you won't regret this purchase. Feels just has strong and heavy as the 800 plus dollar seat backs.

I like the comparative price of this backrest. It was very easy to install. The paint has oxidized on it already. I bought it 3 months ago and park it in the garage when not at work.When I originally posted this review I hadn’t pursued a refund/return because it was 3 months old. This vender read my review, contacted me requesting pics of the defective paint. Then they sent me a new backrest! Three days later I have the replacement! Pretty good service, as I hadn’t even requested anything. Changed my 1 star to 5

Bought the product and it was delivered today. After finally getting some garage time, I decided to install. I attached all pieces together and was ready for the install. I admire the build quality. I slipped the front forks onto the front spools. Fit perfectly. Now on to the back. Went to slide on the back and rotate the locking latches and noticed the latches weren't machined enough to close around the spool. I took off the latches to ensure I wasn't missing anything and the sissy bar sat near perfectly on the rear spools. The rear mounting brackets aren't machined enough either and don't sit all the way down on the spools. Now I have to take to my workshop and modify the latches by 1/8" up to 1/4". I guess we'll see. Quality control needs to double check on the specified motorcycle prior to shipping to ensure this doesn't happen again. Looks great. Just double check that the rear will sit down and they latch before putting it all together. Would have gotten all 5 stars in every category if they fit proper.

Fit and finish were good, only complaint possibly would be no instructions, but super easy to assemble and install.
