Mitch vs. Tony Cook: Round #1 (Draw)
Kyle Mills did it again. Here we have a properly 'seasoned' and very matured version of Mitch up against a divided adminstration.Must complete this one in a single go!I am sure the next 2-3 books will be full of plots and counter-plots between Tony Cook and Mitch.

A good one
Have you ever wanted to be a part of the fictional world so bad that you created your own Nancy drew/hardy boys group? Well, this secret is out I actually did this when I was in my early teens. Fast forward to today, where I try to be in the real life but then comes Enemy at the gates , a truth bomb of a thriller. The ending resonated with me so much, that's why majorly I call it a truth bomb of a book. I did absolutely love the reading experience though I do wish if it could have been a little more faster in the writing pace. It is no secret that there are organisations working in every country to keep it citizens safe. But this book gives us a unique perspective about the life of the members of such organisations, it was the very simple human truth in the form of a thriller. We all want stability. We all want satisfaction from life. Enemy at the Gates will satisfy every mystery reader's thirst as we can see the up's and downs with the adventure crazy twists of politics + human intentions gone wrong in this book. The character development was one of the best that I've read in a thriller. the ending might just make you cry your heart out, if you are an emotional person.

Hard to finish
I’ve been a committed fan all along so the disappointment is real. Utterly weird plot. New world order / old world order nonsense and I wasn’t entirely sure what the point of it all was. And nothing in the world is going to convince me that Mike Nash would turn traitor because he wants to be on the side of those in power who believe the muggles of the world need hardship and something to struggle against and he wants to be protected from the mob of humanity when it all gets too much. It really is as bonkers as that.

How can a book get so bad
Unfortunately the original author has passed away but he built a few years creating an amazing character I could never put one of his book down I was so disappointed reading enemy at the gate it’s not Vince Flynn it’s not Mitchell rapp and by the way I love the character Mitch rapp so much I named my dog Mitch now I’ve read enemy at the gate I feel that’s probably the last time I’m going to buy Another book miss you vince

Different type of Mitch Rapp. Ageing,
Kindle version is 342 pages.A different kind of Mitch Rapp book.Set outside of usual CIA/government environment, more independent, ageing and with doubts.Chases down an African Dictator operating independently with Scott Coleman and his team.Stretches credibility in some areas. Not as strong as other novels in the series but passable and good to see Rapp as a character continue and develop into something more normal, ageing, with doubts, conflicting interests etc.Fans will largely enjoy this short read ideal for the beach etc.

Needs a new theme
It's getting very repetitive. New President, the same corruption, the same behind the scenes deals, the same need for Mitch to save the dayAssuming you can get past all of that, then the book is a good read. If you were to read this as a one off, it's 5*, but reading this after so many other of Mitch's adventures and it does appear he is some sort of reality loop

A step too far from the series
Mitch Rapp and all the regular characters are back. The action scenes and technical stuff are as good as ever but I've just finished it and I fear that the author has gone off on an arc that doesn't work in the Mitch Rapp series. If this had been a standalone book with characters I hadn't spent 15 years reading about the overall premise could work but the change in some characters in this book is so out of place with the series I'm left hoping that the next book if there is one will be the last.
