I started making Sloe Gin 4 years ago. Just 2 litres the first year, followed by 4 litres, 8 litres last year and hey presto 12 litres this year. These 2 litre Kilner Jars are perfect, each one holds the required amount of Sloes, Caster Sugar and a full litre of Gin. Then, after 3 months, the most awesome rich looking and tasting Sloe Gin. So wish I had more room to make more, the prefect gift for friends and of course a wee tot myself now and again to keep the winter cold away. Jars are always well packaged, never any damaged and so easy to get replacement seals etc.

These jars are awesome. All 6 arrived fine in the box. I bought these to store smelly herbs..... Lol. And they are air tight. I've bought cheaper ones in the past and I can't believe the difference. These are the best jars I've ever had. The locking mechanism is alot more substantial and strong than the generics and the seal is much better quality. If you need jars to store anything these are the ones to buy. I'll be telling everyone I know about these :). At 25 pound delivered I don't think there's anything better for 2l jars. They hold around 3oz of herbs for anyone interested :)

These jars are ready for my summer beans and other vegetables - and next years and next years.... I was concerned about ordering glass online because of careless packaging and/or delivery delivery and because they are a breakable product, but they arrived in perfect condition - no problems. Kilner are a very good make in my experience for all sorts of glass storage vessels for pantry items. Glass is the way to go for the future- to be more sustainable, hygienic in the kitchen, its recyclable and reduces the plastic that is negative for the environment. Make sure that the glass is suitable for long-term storage of food as Kilner is - and cheaper reproductions may not be. No complaints about the product or about the seller.

Jars are very good and we are using to store spices, etc. They have an airtight lid and look good in the cupboard. Only negative has been that one jar had a chip in it when it arrived.

These jars are great for keeping pasta, rice, lentils, sugar, oats, etc., in on my shelf. Nice to be able to see how much I have of them at a glance. The square shape makes good use of space, which is in short supply here, and the glass and lids are of good quality. This vendor went above and beyond in packing for shipment - many layers of bubble-wrap on the OUTSIDE of the box, with "fragile" tape. Absolutely splendid - everything in the box arrived in mint condition. (Thanks.) Would recommend both the product and the vendor highly.

After trying out various ways of storing cookies (metal boxes, Tupperware containers, screw top jars, the dratted Kilner push lid jar I wasted my money on), I have have found out that clip top jars are the one and only way of storing stuff that needs to stay crispy! These 2l square jars are my favorites, as they don't waste space in the cupboard by being round and leaving gaps. The opening is nice and large, I even put scones in. A 1.5 kg bag of flour fits in perfectly, if you rap on it so the flour can settle down. Plus, if you buy a whole box they are a great price and a great gift (especially filled)!

Six 2litre Kilner Jars for £30? I mean... value for money alone makes this five stars. They came brilliantly packaged. All arrived safely. They look great on my shelves and work perfectly. They are heavy, you need to be sure you have a shelves that can take them but so much nicer than plastic ones. Love them.
