Silverline High Pressure Hose – 8m Length, Durable Flexible Hose for Pressure Washers & Garden Equipment (633762)

I recently inherited a Champion CPW 1500 Red Pressure Washer. The first time I used it the lance made a horrible noise and started leaking, presumably the plastic was brittle and the pressure broke it. I searched all over the internet for a replacement lance. I only ever found one that was suitable and that I had confidence would fit the existing hose. However, the price for that lance was the same as buying both the Silverline hose (633762) and lance (427657) from Amazon. To use the Silverline lance I needed a new hose, as the lance would not have fitted the hose that the pressure washer came with. I decided this would be a better approach, as I could then just replace the lance, at a much cheaper price, if it broke again in the future. I have seen a couple of people mention the same issue with this particular pressure washer, so I am hoping this review may help others. The hose fitted the pressure washer fine and the lance is made to fit (being from the same company). Both products come with a lifetime guarantee, which you have to register to activate (quick and easy). The guarantee doesn't cover wear and tear, but does cover issues with workmanship/manufacture etc. Overall I am very pleased with the purchases. I was in two minds when ordering but have saved a pressure washer from landfill and saved myself a fair amount of money when compared to buying a whole new pressure washer. Both the lance and the hose seem durable and of good quality. The lance seems much better quality than the one that came with the pressure washer.

Great value and fits perfectly

The trigger mechanism on my Vax pressure washer started leaking just after the warranty expired, and it seems that replacements are no longer available, so I took a chance buying the Silverline trigger and hose to see if I could get another year out of it. The hose feels like it is well made and will last, but the connection to the machine is a slightly different shape compared to the original Vax hose, so I could only get it to seal by wrapping with loads of PTFE tape and tightening with a wrench.

We've got a Challenger power washer, this hose fits, is slightly longer and works just fine. I use the washer about 3 times per month and it's showing no signs of wear or breakage. If it doesn't get to 6 months, I'll let you know... well it made 7 months, has an adversity to being coiled when stored, the hose has gradually worn from the outer covering in, till it has finally burst. Other reviewers didn't like it's connection sizes, I have issues with its durability.

Works on a Kingwash pressure washer (usually sold on eBay as an unbranded machine). The hose is much longer than the original. It is also much sturdier than the original. As others have said, you need to be careful when connecting the 22mm end as it's made of plastic on the outer, whereas my original was made of rubber on the outside. All in all, a decent piece of kit at a very good price. Delivery was set at 5 working days when I bought it. It arrived in 2 days, which was great.

Was hesitant to buy after reading some reviews. Day of receipt i attached to power washer and like others had said there was spray coming out from fixings. Removed the hose to reattach and i pushed the fitting on first to try and get a better seal and then screwed the attachments. Hand tightened on main body and used a pliers to tighten on gun. Thankfully No leaks as i was prepared to use plumbers tape if needed. Used first time today but not for long and all seems fine. Will update review if needed when ive used the hose for longer length of time.

Ordered this before I checked the Silverline catalogue. This product ( P633762) is rated at 110bar maximum pressure. Amazon claims 160bar maximum pressure. I am returning this without trying it as my Bosch AHR1500 is rate at 150bar. This may explain other customer problems with a burst or leaking hose. Addendum now I have received the item: There is some muddle as to the rated maximum pressure for this hose, not helped by having 3 different units for pressure! Silverline catalogue: recommended for 110bar pressure washer. Note Silverline make a 160bar pressure washer , so one presumes that this hose is not suitable for 160bar. Silverline label on product: Max pressure 160bar, so apologies to Amazon, their description is correct. Written on hose itself: Maximum 40MPa ( 5800PSI) . This is 400 bar. The hose seems better quality than other reviewers have reported, so I will try it and further edit this review with the results. Now tried it, however the pump cycles every few seconds. I have a Wickes Jet wash with revolving wheel for the storage of the hose. The joint between hose holder and hose started leaking. Wickes could not supply and referred me to unit maker. They could not help, part not available on 18month old unit??. I found the joint on the internet at £59.98. Unit was £120 new???. I changed the hose for the Silverline hose but found the hose was too stiff to wind on to the hose reel with the trigger unit attached. I cured this by disconnecting the Hose trigger unit each time. (one 17mm spanner/nut) .Worked great despite minor annoyance. Only complaint ... The hose gets stiffer the colder the weather. For the price its a good hose just be wary if it`s cold outside. FOLLOW UP... December 10 2013. Hose will NOT straighten out in cold weather.I stays curly and ended up breaking away from the Lance stripping it`s threads when used. I have thrown it away.I have ordered a Rubber outer hose which will cure this cold weather problem.

Helt enligt beskrivningen. Passade bra till min gamla carwise högtrycksmaskin. Möjligen att vattenflödet blev något sämre, men inget märkbart. Slangen verkar vara i bra kvalité.
