Blade Runner: A Movie (New Edition)
B**S
A good short story but really not worth £9.
This is far too short to release as a stand alone book. There is about 30 pages of introduction to start with which I must say isn't particularly engaging writing. The story itself is about 30-40 pages of classic Burroughs spread out over about 60 pages. Madcap but quite lucid. There even seemed to be some kind of plot there, although it was fairly abstract. He personally spent a lot of time living in England during the 70s and I noticed it felt inspired by the chaos he must have seen here during that era. There was a few moments where he is talking about some insane social situations where I was thinking, 'hmm, this does actually kind of happen here'Its a very quick read, couple of hours at most. I'll probably read it again at some point but I think this would have been better value as part of a collection with some other writings. There just isn't enough of it to justify the price.
