TomTom XL IQ & HTC Sensation XE
I bought this for my TomTom XL IQ & HTC Sensation XE to go on my 2012 Ducati Monster 696+.The mount is very good, holds on to handle bar very tightly and didn't move at high speed. Also he holder comes with x3 filling pads, when using the TomTom I simply removed the filling pads allowing the my TomTom to fit in nicely; and when using my Phone, I fill the holder with the provided filling pads which allows the Phone to be up close to the clear plastic. The clear plastic is well made and I didn't loose the touch sensitivity when using my TomTom and Phone through it. The 360* rotation makes it easier to set it portrait or landscape and also helps to position the charging cable so it doesn't get caught anywhere during turns; also helps with adjusting angles when the sunlight makes it harder to see the screen. The holder isn't that bulky which makes it easier to install and it doesn't block the instrument panel on the bike.Arkon do say that this case is waterproof, I am yet to test it in rainy weather, once I have will update the review. As this has worked so well on my motorbike, I am sure it will work equally well on a bicycle which I will be trying soon.So Overall... It is...Easy to installHolds SatNav & Phone (using filling pads)Good built quality & well priced360* Rotation make it easier to angleNot bulky

Just about adequate in most respects
This item seems quite well-made on the whole, but it has too many issues for a recommendation. For a start, it most certainly isn't waterproof. I left it on the bike (thankfully with nothing in it) overnight when it rained, and in the morning there was water running down the inside of the transparent front.I used the mount to hold my smartphone for navigation, and found the reflections of the sky in even fairly subdued daylight made it difficult, and sometimes impossible, to read the screen. This is accentuated by the fact that it's thin and doesn't lay flat; perhaps it's better with a dedicated satnav, which tend to be much thicker and might press firmly against the front panel to spread it flat.It could also benefit from being more generously-sized. My phone only just went in, although admittedly it is on the big side (Moto G4+ - 155x80mm) - but there would be no chance with a charger cable connected. Finally, despite the earlier comment about being well-made, it does shake around rather on my single-cylinder bike (KTM 690 Duke). I found myself getting concerned about the long-term durability of the plastic ball-joint that connects the case with the handlebar fitting.I think there must be better products to do this job, and I shall probably buy one when I find it.

Amazing case - recommend for all bikers!
Very impressed with quality! I expected a cheaper product given the price.Well constructed and contains a number of pad to pack out the case for smaller devices which can also be easily cut to allow wires or to fit the device better. The case fits very securely to the bracket a requires quite a strong force to properly fit before screwing in the screw to keep it in place. Others have said that the screw breaks easily but I do not see this problem it only needs to be screwed down with fingers as it isn't structural.

Great Product/Great Value
I purchased this to use on my Triumph Tiger800 XCx adventure bike. I mounted my old iPhone 4 with the Tom Tom GP app in it and after a bit of fiddling with the phone, the included pads, the cable and some good old Press Stick, I got a nice snug fit where the phone does not move around and the cable stays where I want it. The base was very easy to mount on the handlebars. I have had it for about 2 weeks and have been on several short rides where it has worked perfectly. The touch screen works very well through the plastic cover. I am waiting for a power adaptor to arrive so I can have the phone plugged in while I ride as GPS chows battery life on the phone. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because I have not yet been on a long (all day or multi-day) ride to see if it loosens up or has any other issues. Given how it has performed so far, I am not expecting any. Oh yeah, delivery was super fast. I ordered it on a Saturday night and it was delivered Monday morning. Would definitely recommend this and would buy again from this seller.

Not bad, but not great either
This piece of kit is pretty good for bicycles.I have been using this for about a month now and its alright, the mount fits nicely around the handlebar stem of my mountain bike and I just leave it on at all times... then when I need to I just click the phone holder onto it, tighten it up and ride off.I do have a few complaints though. The holder itself is BIG.... TOO BIG in my opinion. It could quite easily be a lot thinner and smaller as even with my phone in it I have to use all of the foam spacers (and a sponge I put in myself) just to get it up to the clear plastic window so I can use the touch screen. It could quite easily be half the width and still hold most phones or GPS devices.Another problem I have with this is no matter how tight I tighten it it STILL moves around. I keep having to constantly adjust it back to a position I can view it.Also, I have tried using it on my motorbike, and for that its pretty useless. The vibrations just make it move around even more

Arkon Motorcycle Mount - Quality of Fitments
Purchased this a few days ago and fitted it to my motorcycle however there are two problems with it:1. The brass screw snapped as I gently screwed it in, but fortunately there was a spare brass screw included in the pack. - The brass screw also doesn't seem to grip the sat nav very securely. - It seems to grip about 2mm on the edge of the plastic at the back, so I am not convinced that the sat nav will be held securely. - This potentially could be lethal for motorcyclists.2. The ball joint that the sat nav sits on is very loose indeed and so I can't position the sat nav facing slightly upwards as the whole case just falls back down due to the weak ball joint.I am considering returning this to the supplier as I have safety concerns about this product.Other than that, the casing is of good quality and the foam inserts help to pad out the free area if you have a small sat nav.The delivery was speedy.

Seems to be sturdy, well built
Used it together with an USB cable (MOTOPOWER MP0609C 3.1Amp Waterproof Motorcycle Dual USB Charger Kit SAE to USB Adapter Cable Phone Tablet GPS Charger) to power the iPhone I use as a GPS on my Triumph motorcycle. I had no problems seeing the screen while riding during the day. I did not move while riding at highway speeds. Seems to be sturdy, well built, definitely a good purchase. Why not 5 stars? The only hole for a power cable is at the larger side of the case. That is good for GPSs such as Garmins but smart phones are usually powered from the smaller side. I had to buy a specific cable in order for it to fit (MKDMiD 90-degree Right Angle Braided Lightning). I don't think it is 100% waterproof but I solved that by putting the phone inside a ziplock bag and then putting it inside the case. Pleasantly surprised.

Primera impresion estupenda
El precio y calidad muy bueno. Da sensacion de producto robusto y se adaptaba al manillar muy bien.Trae unas almoadillas para colocar correctamente el aparato (navegador,movil...etc) en el interior de la funda.

Does what it says....
Product arrived within days (good, considering I'm on the other side of the world).First impression:The case looks and feels well-made and robust. The bracket felt a bit flimsy and so has been handled with care. The Case:The zip was a little on the tight/stubborn side but I guess this helps towards weatherproofing. I thought it would be a pain to be repeatedly taking it in and out to turn it on and off but found I'm able to turn the GPS on through the case (TomTom XL250) so not a problem (besides, the zip now feels it may loosen a bit with use). The GPS fit perfectly, and is easily seen through the clear plastic front. The XL250 can still be programmed via the touchscreen without any problems. I bought this case to get the GPS out of my tank bag where it was sitting flat and prone to glare from all directions. With the unit sitting upright on the handlebars I haven't found a problem with glare yet but it might be a problem when the sun is directly behind. I may look at making a hood for it if this becomes a problem. The power cable fits easily into the case through the hole in the bottom and removal of one of the spacers inside the case gave me room to store excess cable. The mounting bracket:I have a dual purpose bike which has trail style handlebars with a 1/2 inch cross brace. The mount quotes bar size "Up to 33mm". While the mount is obviously meant for 20mm to 33mm, mounting it on the 12mm cross brace was not a problem although it does appear to vibrate a little at speed. I might try shifting it at some stage to see if that makes a difference. The ball joint for the bracket isn't as tight as I would like, but then I'm mindful of another review that claimed the ball joint disintegrated when tightened and so have been over-cautious not to over tighten it. As with all things plastic you only know its limit when it breaks. I may look at giving the ball a light scratch up with some heavy grit sand paper to see if this helps or perhaps apply some rubber based glue to the ball only. The mount between the case and the ball joint bracket on the bar feels like it wouldn't take much to break so again, being cautious when taking the case off the bar and making sure to hold the ball joint with one hand and the case with the other. As a final precaution against losing the GPS due to a bracket snapping, I have made a short lanyard which is attached to the handlebars and clips (via a small dog clip) to the zip on the case. So if the bracket fails the GPS swings happily on the lanyard and not bouncing merrily along the ground at high speed.Summary:So far, so good. I like this case very much but would be happier if the bracket didn't feel so flimsy. If I lived in the US I'd just give it beans and return it if it breaks but since shipping costs are more than the unit when you live clear across the other side of the planet, I'll stick with being careful, for now. (Oh, and as it was so cheap, I did buy a spare, just in case...)UPDATE: 25th November, 2011. This case has been on & off the bike dozens of time now and done numerous trips including two tours of NZ (5,000 klm's)over bitumen as well as rough shingle roads and it's still going strong. Any concerns over a flimsy plastic bracket have all but gone. On the last trip I rode for 6 1/2 hours in solid, torrential rain with the GPS tucked snugly inside the case hoping it would survive (fearing it would get more wet removing it I felt it was safer in the case) and apart from the front clear plastic sheet fogging up the GPS remained perfectly dry inside. I'm still happy with it.

No coinciden las medidas que dan, con las que tiene la funda. El soporte si está bien.La calidad es buena.

It does appear sturdy however and should last the test of time
The product required modification so I could use it with my GPS. The power cord did not line up with the access port. It is also hard to see in direct sunlight as there is a lot of glare. It does appear sturdy however and should last the test of time.
