The best true red velvet flavour!
This is the only Red Velvet flavour that is worth buying, even though it takes awhile to ship I am thrilled everytime it pops into the postbox. The colour and flavour of the cakes when using this is a true red velvet flavour strong and beautifully coloured. (Make sure to use American recipes as the UK ones are not good). The bottle size is more than enough for quite a few cakes as quality is excellent. One item worth mentioning is the fact that you should order this well ahead of time as it takes some time to get to the UK.

Brilliant Product - Stable recipe given here
Beat 120g butter or marg, 2 tsp vanilla, 75 ml sunflower oil, 300g sugar, add 2 eggs. Then combine with the 2 other bowls of ingredients: Sift 350g plain flour, 10g cocoa powder, 2 tsp baking powder. In a bowl: 250ml buttermilk, 1 tbsp (3 tsp) white vinegar, 4 tsp red velvet colour/flavouring. Muffins bake approx 22 mins at 160 degrees. Icing 100g soft butter, 100g cream cheese, 400g icing sugar, 2 tsp lemon juice. Makes 12-18 cupcakes. I am a baker with many years experience so when I've spent a lot of time researching this, I thought I'd share. Yes I didn't think this recipe would work either!

Good addition but artificial ingredients
Did add a wonderful red colour and texture to the cake. However, artificial ingredients let it down

Perfect for red velvet
Absolutely brilliant for red velvet cupcakes. Gave the perfect colour and has a wonderful aroma but not overpowering. I don't like to use anything else for my red velvet cakes
