Yes, as long as you buy untreated seeds.

Q: What seeds can I grow in this please ? Bean sprouts ??

Personally I would not recommend this sprouter due to an inherent fault with the lid design, and no replacement available. See my previous review. In direct answer to your question you could grow beansprouts although ideally, you would use a bigger vessel. When growing beansprouts they grow at such a rate that the jar fills up really quickly and the intertwined beansprours "jam up" the jar and are difficult to clean, and remove any iffy ones. (I do most of my sprouting with buckwheat) I have tried beansprouts in this size of jar and it was possible with a relatively small quantity say 1/2 cup, but it is a bit fiddly. There are other seeds you could try too, but I don't have much experience with them so cannot advise.
