My original review for this product was 5 stars.... however....... I used this the other day in my home, there was a popping noise then black smoke started pouring out from the side and a bad smell of burning plastic. This could have started a fire in my home. I am frankly embarrassed to have left a positive review before. Look at the photos - on the plug it is printed ‘no grounding’. Surely this cannot be legal????

I bought 4 different ones- you can see the reviews on the others in Amazon- and this is the one that is my go-to travel companion. I have used it in Switzerland, Germany, Scotland, England, US, and in other areas. No problem and I love that it works everywhere, from the train to the plane to the hotel to the airport. No problems. I have dropped it, stepped on it and thrown it. Again, durable. And, the color makes it stand out so I don't forget it. Best one of the four purchased by far.Update: 11 July 2019. I am posting pictures to answer a question about the ability to plus in US plugs with two different sized prongs. As you can see, the adapter is designed to take this plugs as well. It can also do the 3 prong plugs. I have used all of them on this adapter as well as British products in the US using this adapter as well. No problems.I have now used this adapter in the following countries:Thailand, Korea, Japan, India, Malaysia, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, England, France, Scotland, Germany, Ireland, Iceland, Canada, Rwanda, Ivory Coast/Cote d'Ivoire, Kenya, Uganda....and I literally cannot remember all the countries I have used this in during travel, but needless to say it is extensive. I have not had any problems yet with this adapter. I travel all over the world for my job and this is a must have for my go-bag. I now own 2 of them. I also use it at home in the US, just because I am just so used to grabbing it for everything, lol. Hope this helps. Any questions, just ask. I tested it when it arrived. Now the day before my holiday I put my phone and I pad to charge over night both totally flat. Wiggle it in the socket and it comes back on. Then fails again very poor.

Bought this as we were travelling to a number of countries on our holidays this year. It worked brilliantly in US and Europe. The USB ports were a great addition to our older adapter and were a godsent when it came to recharging phones and tablets at the same time. I also chose this bright orange to help spot is when clearing the hotel rooms of our belonging when moving on. Great product.

Brilliant and it charges phones etc far faster than the normal plugs

Works really well, it’s ROHS compliant too so I feel safe using it, I’ve had it for about 3 months now and use it daily, it struggles to charge an iPad and an iPhone at the same time via the usb, but will charge them no problems if one is plugged into the normal socket, but it’ll charge 2 phones no problems at all :)

Kept a laptop, a mobile phone and blue tooth headphone charger happy in Cambodia. Nice looking and durable, easy to pack because everything folds away into the 'cube' and basically perfect for the solo traveller who travels light. Has 2 USBs which glow blue when it's plugged into the wall socket of your host country - this is useful because not all the wall plugs worked where I was staying so this way I knew straight away if the power was good. I can see me using this for years to come.

What I liked: (Just brilliant!) Easy to use, doesn’t over heat, works well in America, carribean and Europe on a prolonged use, charged my iPhone and iPad in a relatively short amount of time, very very durable.Dislikes: n/a
