It spreads easily and evenly over the face providing uniform coverage and does not feel tacky or sticky after application. My skin still feels like it can breathe with this product on.- It also creates a perfect smooth canvas for applying makeup on top.- It does not add to oil, this was an important factor for me as I have combination/oily skin. It has a silky non greasy finish.- It is also suitable for sensitive skin.- I've struggled to find these qualities in most sunblocks; in the past with other products I've always been left with a greasy looking pasty face.- Designed for daily prevention against photo-aging and sun damage.- Suitable for lessening the effects of medication-induced photosensitivity, preventing melasma in greasy skins and photodermatosis, also suitable for the photoprotection of skin treated with topical and/or oral retinoids (Vitamin A).DISADVANTAGES- I can't think of anyPRODUCT INFORMATIONThis product contains fernblock; a fern polypodium leucotomos found in a plant (that use to be an aquatic plant but adapted itself to live on land by developing a mechanism that enabled it to naturally protect against UV radiation).This complex added with green tea, chemical and physical sun filters helps to prevent damage to skins natural defences. It also helps to protect against damage to skin cell DNA.It is important to remember this product is not a moisturiser and should not be used to substitute your moisturiser. You will still need to use a moisturiser underneath this product.The SPF number indicates how many times longer you can stay in the sun before starting to burn than you would without sun protection. So, the higher the SPF the greater the protection BUT these are theoretical values. In reality the time depends on other factors like your skin photo type and the local UV intensity.THERE ARE THREE TYPES OF UV RADIATION:- UVA - mainly damages the structure of the skin, causing the formation of wrinkles, sagging and premature ageing of the skin. UVA penetrates deeper into the skin than UVB.- UVB- responsible for the majority of sunburn and plays a significant role in developing skin cancer by causing damage to the DNA of skin cells.- UVC is absorbed into space by the atmosphere and does not reach the Earth's surface.CONCLUSIONI really liked this product and will continue to use it. Its a thumbs up from me. I like the fact it is quite a thick consistency but glides on smoothly and sinks into my skin well. I don't find it sticky or oily as some have stated on here, but that might be because I have dry skin. I am glad the cream has a light beige colour and is not white so it disappears nicely into my skin and I can still wear foundation if I want a bit more colour. My face does look a bit shiny with this cream but I don't mind that and I know it will be perfect in the summer months. I have sensitive skin and haven't noticed any breakouts or red patches, just be careful not to put it over your eyelids as I did by mistake. Nothing happened very bad, just felt a bit itchy. I'm really pleased with this product and will buy again. I'm also looking at some of their other SPF's I might like to try. My usual brand is La Roche Posey tinted SPF which is very sheer. I think I prefer this one though as I want something with a bit more coverage for age. The other thing was the shiny face (which I don't like) but again it stays on and you could use it as a base for your foundation. And finally you don't need much ( unless you've plenty of time rubbing it in).I shall continue to use it. P.S i'd give it 8/9 out of 10, but i'm a half full person.
