Great for the price
Fanatic machine for the price, had to buy a separate pediatric cuff as this just comes with a standard adult cuff but it works well and comes in a little bag for storage very easy to use and simple design

An ideal BP monitor.
An excellent, easy to use monitor. Has a clear to read display with good battery life. My previous purchase of this model has lasted for over 10years.

Good monitor!
Was diagnosed with high blood pressure at the GP and prescribed medication but decided to monitor my blood pressure myself. Easy to use machine, seems accurate so far compared to the GP's monitoring of blood pressure measurements. Good monitor it saves the last several readings and is simple and easy to use and comes with a little bag to store it in which is a nice touch as well.

Small, reliable and accurate blood pressure monitor.
I was recently told by my Doctor to keep an eye on my blood pressure as it was a little bit high (and like most people it was higher because I was in a Dr's surgery and was stressed because I had been left in the waiting room for almost 2 hours!!) I was offered the option to go to the Dr's once a week to use their machine but that was a bit of a trek so I came on to amazon to get myself a little blood pressure machine to use at home. After reading the reviews I decided to go for this one and I clearly made a very good choice. This little machine is small and so very easy to use. When it arrived all I had to do to set it up was plug the little tube with the cuff attached into the slot in the side of the machine, insert the batteries and the monitor was ready to use. You just wrap the cuff around the top of your arm (the booklet this comes with suggests using your left arm for an accurate reading) and press the large 'start/stop' button on the machine. The reading takes about 20 seconds or so to pop up. What's extra handy about this machine, especially if you don't really know which numbers are classed as normal, is the little traffic light system on the side of the screen. Once your reading pops up an arrow will also be pointing to one of the colours to tell you clearly if your blood pressure reading is normal or high. green (normal) yellow (tiny bit high) orange (too high) or red (probably best to see a gp at this point) This machine also takes your pulse. I've been on holiday since having this blood pressure monitor and it fits in my travel bag without taking up too much space. So it's very handy for people who are on the go a lot as well as people who want to just leave it at home. I have also been to see my GP and took my machine. My GP took my blood pressure using her machine and mine and the readings were almost identical so I know for sure that this machine is accurate and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to keep an eye on their blood pressure.

Easy to use, does the job and seems accurate
I unfortunately was diagnosed with slightly high Blood Pressure a few months ago and wanted to be able to monitor it myself at home so I could manage it myself and see the effect of any lifestyle changes. I found that resting lying down etc helped and actively trying to remain calm, avoiding stressful situations and telling loved ones when they were stressing me out helped a lot! This fantastic machine does the job of quickly measuring your BP and letting you know if the readings are healthy, or a cause for concern. As well as measuring your Systolic and diastolic readings, it also displays a small arrow on the left of the screen to indicate whether your reading is in the green (normal), amber (moderate) or red (high) range. It's very easy to use, with simple instructions and works in the same way as the one in the doctor's office. The readings seem to be accurate as they are inline with readings at the doctors surgery and with my mum's machine which is a more expensive Omron model It stores around 30 or so readings with times and dates so you can compare with your previous tests and can see how your blood pressure changes throughout the day. - It's supposed to be higher in the morning and then drops lower in the afternoon and evening. Thankfully my BP is back in the normal range now, although during my research I found a few strange things to help immediately lower your BP if it gets high: 1) sit with your feet in a bowl of warm water (no idea why this works, it probably calms you down) 2) drink water with lemon juice in (potassium helps lower BP) 3) eat a banana each day for the potassium 4) drink ginger tea (sliced fresh ginger in hot water) 5) take a bath The main thing I did was change some medication I was taking which had the side effect of raising my BP. I have also resigned from my stressful job! I'm still using the Duronic BP monitor regularly to keep on top of my BP.

Far more accurate that my old cuff based BP meter.
Ten years ago I felt a bit dizzy whilst driving, and noticed my eyes were very bloodshot. Next day my GP found I had a BP of 212 over 118 and packed me off for a battery of tests. I was sorted quickly with medication, and still stick with it for peace of mind, but as belt and braces I bought a cuff based BP monitor from my local chemist that I used for years, which proved a false economy both money and health wise. It would record me as 119 over something, but my GP's monitor found it to be say... 145. Next visit might be112 at home but his showed 138 etc. etc. This just didn't help at all. I needed to have a real health benchmark I could trust, and after his fifth or sixth gentle 'dig' at cuff based monitors being inaccurate to quite a degree, asked him what brand he thought best...and he said anything costing £50+ and with an upper arm based valve system would be far better than the thing I had. I plumped for this purely on its discounted price (down from £50), and I'm very happy with the purchase. At this price I was willing to take a chance on it not being as efficient as I wanted it to be, but was prepared to upgrade to a higher priced machine if that proved the case. It arrived within 48 hours of ordering, and I have to say It's build quality is excellent... as for its accuracy....on my last three health checks, checking my BP on it before leaving home, it has been within 3 points of my GP's finding once in the surgery. It's nice to know that what I'm seeing on the readout is what my body is actually doing. I'm very glad I bought this piece of kit, it's a very reassuring thing to have around and it's ighly recommended for the small price I had to pay. It's now a family resource. I went with the number of five star reviews it had, I'm really glad I did and I'm very happy to give it 5 stars myself. Peace of mind for all the family for a smidge less than £15. I can't fault it. Hope this helped.

Perfect for everyday checking!
I bought the Duronic blood pressure monitor because my doctor said I should keep an eye on my blood pressure, but I think he just wanted to give me something to do between Netflix episodes. This little gadget is so easy to use, even my cat could probably check her own blood pressure (if she ever stopped napping). The display is big enough that I don’t have to squint, and it’s so fast I barely have time to panic about the results. Now I can check my blood pressure after climbing the stairs, after drinking coffee, or after reading the news—spoiler: it’s always higher after the news. If you want a reliable, easy-to-use monitor that won’t judge you for your snack choices, the Duronic is the one for you!
