Babycakes Doughnut Maker

After having watched famous Pop Pilates star, Cassey Ho use one of these, I cannot say that I thought about it purchasing before hand. Was definitely impulsive! However, I am so glad that I did and it has made a really nice addition to my obsession with kitchen appliances.What's included in the box:- The donut maker itself.- Information leaflet, with very good recipes!- A thin, metal wire cooling rack.- Two forked prong.I cannot stress how important it is to read instructions as I do not like anything to go wrong, but the ones given are really simple and easy to understand. One of the obvious things is that it might smell funny first time use, which it does. It's not potent, it won't make you leave your kitchen in horror and it won't make your donuts taste funny, as long as you give it all a wipe down first.I made the most basic recipe, and I thought it would only make one-two batches but I think it came to be about three or four... and me and my partner could not stop eating these! We figured that when they were warm they'd be good with a bit of a coating of sugar. However, if you're thinking of the deep fried coated in sugar that rots your teeth, this is definitely not the product you want. Properly cooked donuts as the picture Amazon provides, ends up with a very light dusting of sugar, even if shaken in the bag for a good five minutes.I would definitely recommend these to parents who do not want to put unhealthy snacks in lunch boxes and on the dinner table as dessert. There are several recipes you can follow to find healthier alternatives than basic batter recipes with lots of sugar (honey is always good!). A lot of fun with a partner, as you can use several different types of batter, icing and toppings, of which I am yet to do myself.A fantastic product, you will not be disappointed!

Unfortunately this item was very disappointing. Would not cook the waffle mixture right through so therefore left it so soggy. There is no clip on the lid in order for to be clamped down during cooking to give the pressure required.

Good product, however, the recipes that came with it were altogether useless. The amount of liquid suggested made a dry dough that would no way pour into the machine. I discovered some recipes for the same product on line from America that gave the amounts of ingredients in cup measurements which did make a runny mix that was pourable into the machine and the resulting doughnuts were impressive. Glad I bought it.

Works great and very easy to use. The donughts that this makes have more of a cake-like texture than normal donught but still delicious!

Unfortunately this machine gets dangerously hot, even the lid latch, so much so oven gloves are needed throughout the cooking process. Despite the cooking guidelines, it was impossible to get the cooking time right as the machine got so hot it burnt the mixture.

I do not really like donuts as I find them too greasy and sweet, but the ones which you can make in this taste amazing! It's super quick to cook them and really easy. I was super impressed as this donut maker saves so much time! I would definitely recommend this. The smell which it gives off for the first use isn't too bothersome nor does it affect the taste of the donuts. It's important to read the manual for this!

This is a lot of fun to use. It takes some practice to get the perfect shaped doughnuts but they taste really good
