Received today. Seems heavy duty. Installing on my employees restroom. Previous, cheaper, lower quality privacy locks only lasted 1 year. Easy install if you follow the basic instructions and disregard most of what is shown. Two things to know. First, the medium screws, not the long, not the short, but the medium screws are used to screw the inside plate to the outside assembly. Second, the inside cover needs to be separated from the inside spring assembly. The instructions left me guessing what to do. After staring at for five minutes I realized that if you hold the inside cover and twist counter clockwise, the two dimpled side walls line up with the channel on the inside spring assembly and the cover gently separates. Simple, yes, but I'm not a locksmith and not knowing this frustrated me for a bit. Once put together, the lock operates smoothly and as expected.

This door handle was a good value for the money. I replaced this on a commercial setting bathroom, that gets used maybe 10-15 times a day. It was very easy to install, as it fit perfectly in to my pre-existing holes. Worked great, did what it was supposed to until few days ago. It's been just a little over a 2 months since installation, and the inside door handle seized up in the down position, not allowing it to open or close. I took it apart and tried to fix it, but seems like one of the mechanisms inside (which I can't access), is broken or out of place, forcing the inside door handle to stay in the down position.

Great. Purchased to replace a commercial bathroom door handle. Original door handle was a diff brand but a little more expensive than this one. I am not handy by any means and I was able to figure it out. Tbh the directions weren't terribly clear. But it want hard to figure out. The door handle was more heavy duty than I anticipated. Will be purchasing this brand again.

This is a really heavy duty lock. At first, the directions show you will have to drill 2 additional holes "to make the lock more secure". However, after careful reading the additional holes are only optional. Remember, this lock is a PRIVACY lock, used for a restroom. The extra security is not necessary, since it can be opened with a coin or screwdriver. Lock was easy to install using the original hole in the door. I will be another one for the other restroom door.

I bought this as a replacement handle for a commercial large metal door for a Sonic Drive In men's room, it fits perfectly, it is a commercial handle, it is grade 2 , I will purchase again. This size is not available in a small town. Thanks Amazon

Make sure this will fit your door before you buy it. It doesn't fit standard residential doors.

Backset latch is wrong size for most residential doors. should be 2 3/8" but 2 3/4" provided.
